"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

MAKE A CHANGE / TAWS New Release...

Good morning!  Today is the day - the big blog hop at The Alley Way Stamps' blog and one lucky lady (or man - men stamp, too, you know!) is going to win the whole release! But, that will be in my next post.

This post is all about this cutie-patootie set, inspired by moi, called Change. Isn't that the cutest piggy bank?!? My kiddies have big fat piggy banks and love rootin' around for change to put into them, pretty much like ALL kids, young and old!

I also used the fun new colourQ palette!

Be sure to check out my next post to join in The Alley Way's May Stamp Release.

EGG HUNT / SSD Speed Scrap...

Good morning! It's Monday - where did the weekend go? This is a quick page I made LAST Saturday playing along with a speed scrap at Sweet Shoppe Designs. You know I l-o-v-e speed scraps! The template was actually provided, and I used a gorgeous kit,  Flowers After the Rain by Wishing Well Creations and Sugarplum Paperie.

These were some Easter egg hunt pics taken down at my grandparent's 'pond' house. We were back there this past weekend, and my brother found an Easter egg that hadn't been found on Easter. So weird, it was practically out in plain sight!

Thanks for stopping by!

MISS YOU LOTS / RIC #34 & TAWS Sneak Peek Day #2...

Hello again! Today is day 2 of our Sneak Peeks from The Alley Way Stamps! Which means YOU have another chance to win a set, just for going to the TAWS blog and leaving a comment! Our peek today is for a set called Delicate Doilies - so gorgeous!

My sketch came from my latest "CASE Files" - just a little personal challenge for myself to be inspired by awesome cards that I see! This is based on this card by Torico - such a beautiful little card! I also played along with the Runway Inspired Challenge only to realize it has ended... sigh. That happens to me too often!

Bye for now,

FIND JOY / SSSC #183 & Birdie Brown Challenge...

Good morning!!! I have a card for you bright and early today... as a Guest Designer for Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Betcha' didn't see that coming, huh? I am very very honored, I have played along with Karen's sketches for years, and this is certainly an "Everest" moment for me! Thank you so much Karen!!!

I loved this sketch, it is so flexible and can be used with any image or paper as the main panel. I chose to use a freebie image by Torico (AKA - Birdie Brown) and rotated the sketch. I do hope you will play along with us at Sweet Sunday Sketch! Be sure to head over and see the other designer's inspiration, too!

I also played along with Torico's monthly freebie digi challenge, her digis are SO adorable...

Big hugs,

WILD THING / RS #61 and TAWS Sneak Peek Day #1...

Hello! Having a great Saturday? Whew - I was up until 3:30 working on projects, then got us at 7:30 to get ready for the day and leave the house! We had breakfast at my grandparent's 'pond' house and then had Y Day at the YMCA - the kids sang during the entertainment - it was a riot!

We have a new sketch today for RetroSketches, and today us also a Sneak Peek day over at The Alley Way Stamps, so be sure to hop over there and enter for your chance to win the set featured with this card - "Deep In The Woods"!!!

Big hugs,

SUNNY DAYS Hybrid Card / R Meierotto New Release...

There's a lot of great new digital kits in the shop today over at Pixels and Company! This card was made by printing out papers and elements from Robyn Meierotto's new kit Spring. Robyn is a really fabulous designer and you might recognize some of her work, her papers have been produced by MME! I love the fact that I can get digital papers in some of my favorite traditional paper patterns! I can use them over and over!

Bye for now!

Good morning! Here's a card using the image Aloha Flower Garden, part of the new release from A Day For Daisies by the same name - Aloha Flower Garden. These images are amazing, so be sure to head over to the blog and check them all out!!!

For this card, I printed the image on thick cardstock, then dropped ink onto it & blew the ink around. Then I mixed some with alcohol and painted a light wash over the flowers.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

LIFE IS ABOUT... / DS #99...

Well, hello there! Happy Thursday! We have a brand new sketch today over at The Deconstructed Sketch, our 99th! Wow - I can't believe it's been that long... seems like I got an email form Jen yesterday about her new project. And she has cranked out almost 2 years of awesome sketches - WOOHOO!

For this card I used a sentiment set by The Alley Way Stamps, Life is Short. And I got lucky and had this cute MME paper that had crayons on it. Also, for the back panel I decided to use washi tape, since you can see through it... I thought that might be interesting.

I would love for you to check out the sketch and everyone's amazing cards...

Bye for now...

The AWESOME~est Chicken Salad

Who doesn't love a good chicken salad? So this is a variation on a chicken salad recipe that my mother-in-law served in her cafe years ago. I helped her make it once, so that's why I call it a variation - LOL! I love it served on Pepper and Olive Oil Triscuits, or on flatbread crackers topped with a slice of avocado - YUMMM! I also throw in a 1/4 of chopped pecans occasionally to "dress it up" for showers or parties.

The AWESOME~est Chicken Salad

2 - 12.5 oz cans of chunk chicken in water
1/2 cup mayonnaise ( I use Hellman's Olive Oil Mayo)
1 small apple, finely diced
3 or 4 green scallions finely sliced
1 tsp dill
1 or 2 tsp McCormick Garlic Pepper Seasoning Grinder

Drain chicken, and mash it between your fingers to shred it up. Add the other ingredients and mix until well blended. As far as the dill and garlic pepper, add those to your tastes. I love them both, so I tend to be heavy handed with them! Refrigerate for an hour and then serve.

Servings: 6
Per serving: Calories - 212, Carbs - 6g,  Fat - 10g, Protein - 24g, Sodium - 757g, Sugar - 2g

Let me know if you make it (and like it)!

WHAT'S UP??? / CQC #186...

Hello! Hope your week has bee awesome so far! I have a card for the newest colourQ - I just love these colors together! I used a couple sets from The Alley Way Stamps - Ghoul-Friend and Tag-Alongs... I love mixing and matching these stamps!

This post is late & my other was late, everything this week has been covered in pollen (not snow like some of my poor stamping friends!) and I got the worst migraine this morning after the gym... actually while I was at the gym. I finally made myself sit in front of a computer after the kids went to bed, but it still hurts. BUT - I am happy to day I have been going to the gym at least 5 days a week since the start of the month. I swear I think I should have lost at least 50 pounds by now, but I haven't - LOL! Oh well, I'll just keep going and see what happens, right?

Have a great Wednesday!

Love & hugs,

WISH BIG / PDC #178...

Good morning! Here's a SUPER FAST card... you could make tons of these in no time! I made this for a couple challenges, including a sketch challenge, but I'm thinking I will try that one again. There are so many awesome challenges this week, I hope I get to play with them all! For this card I used Tag~Alongs and Wish Big from TAWS.

I played along with these fun colors at the Play Date Cafe!

Bye for now...
