"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

One last card for today... actually I finished it yesterday and am just now getting around to posting! I have been wanting to ink up this cute stamp set, Circle of Honor, from Paper Smooches for a while now. When I saw these gorgeous colors from Color Throwdown, I knew it was time! The little house die is from Papertrey.

INSTA LOVE / DHD New Release Day...

When we got a new phones last year, we went Android. Once I found out I couldn't get Instagram for it, I totally regretted it! But luckily, when I checked back a few weeks ago, they had finally released an Android app - YAY! All I can say is I really love it!

Last Sunday, Jeff had to work overtime for 12 hours - so it was just me and the kids after church. Late in the afternoon I decided to let them play in the sprinkler. Alex was really mad about wearing his clothes to play in & said "I am NOT getting my clothes wet!" Of course as soon as he saw Maisie do it, he was on board! I took the pics with my phone & Instagram.

I used a new kit, available today (30% off) for this page, In the Moment by Audrey Neal. I used a template from Deena Rutter's Design 365 Layered Layouts, vol.5.

Here they are - my sweet kiddies having fun!

Thanks for stopping by!

YOU ROCK! / CQC #139...

Here another card for today - a clean and simple card, man do I love these! Late last night I was wracking my brain trying to figure out what I wanted to do for today's colourQ, when I remembered these images by the Alley Way Stamps, Talk To Me & Jibber Jabber. I think they're perfect. And fun. WAAAAYYY FUN!

Have an awesome day!!!

JOSIE / BLD Tuesday Inspiration...

Good morning! Today is the last BLD Tuesday Inspiration for a while, Lori is taking a break for the summer to be with her babies, clean up the shop and draw some more fantastic images! Don't worry, I'll host my own BLD Inspiration day, when I decided what day I want to dedicate to it - LOL!

I used the ever adorable Bug & Roo image, Josie today! She is SO SO SWEET! I colored her first, which for me is usually a big no-no... I always freak out trying to find matching paper, but had some luck and found a small scrap of this retired SU! paper lurking around! YAY!

Thank so much for stopping by & I hope you'll go see the other inspiration!

SQUEAL / RS #13...

Good morning! We have a brand new RetroSketch for you, designed by Jackie! Don't you just love it?!? I think I'm probably going to use it 50 times this week for sure - LOL! This is a new set coming out in June from Paper Smooches, called Green Acres - it is ADORABLE!!! Isn't this the happiest little piggy you've ever seen? Since I am a PS Club member, I get them early...YAY! These papers are from Echo Park, Hello Summer!

Hope you get to play along with us this week!

Here's another digital hybrid card for today! The image is new from A Day For Daisies, called Orange Pinwheel, from the set Pinwheels are Fun! And they are! I also used digital paper piecing for this card, with Celeste Knight's new paper, Summer Sorbet, over at Design House Digital.

Like my previous card, I set this all up on one page for printing. Using a light grey box to show my trim-line, I set up the image and the sentiment (which you'll find *free* below for your personal use) for the card front. I then digitally paper pieced the pinwheel & placed it on my page again, so that I could cut it out and pop it up on the base. After trimming the card front, I placed it in an embossing folder right up to the line of the pinwheel's stick, with the un-embossed half sticking out the side & ran it through my Big Shot.

*You are free to use this image, but please do not post it to your blog or anywhere else online. You may provide a link to this post for others to come and grab it, though! Just right click & open it into a new window at full size and right click on it again to save it to your computer.*

Have an awesome day!!!

Good morning - it's finally Friday ~ YAY! I have pink eye (again!) so the morning is slipping by since I spent a good part of it at the doctor's office.

We start a new challenge today over at the Dilly Beans blog - friendship. This card is all digital - the image is a combination of 2 DIlly Beans, Mia Framed and Pretty Flower Girl. I loved the really subdued colors of these digital papers. I also.added rhinestones to the roses. When I set this up for printing, I used a light grey box to outline where I would trim the paper and lined the sentiment (WFCo. - Friendship Phrases) up. Then I placed the main image outside of that box, so that I could cut it out and pop it up. I sparingly used some Copics to add some depth.

I used Gennifer Bursett's new digi paper, When Skies are Grey. Her kits can be found at Design House Digital. Here is my tutorial for digital paper piecing.

Thanks for stopping by~

Love this new collab, Birthday Bash from Karen Giron and Sara Schmutz!!! These are new today over at Design House Digital, along with this cool template I used by Audrey Neal, Banners Galore

We celebrated Jeff's dad's birthday last weekend, and while I forgot my camera (yeah, I know...DUH!) I did manage to take some pics with my phone!

Thanks so much for visiting!

PENNY / DHD New Release Day...

I think anyone that truly knows me, knows that I can be a very sentimental sap! When I read Gennifer Bursett mention The 23rd of May being National Lucky Penny Day, I decided to do a layout about pennies. So that one day, when they finally do stop making them, like they threaten to ever so often, my kids and their kids will know what they were - LOL!

It's new release day over at Design House Digital, which means 30% off all new kits! I used Audrey Neal's Iconic Papers and Elements, and Robyn Meierotto's Cut It Out Masks set.

Thanks so much for visiting!

EI~EI~O / DS #53...

Good morning! It's time for a new sketch over at the Deconstructed Sketch! Super fun! As you can see, I shrank it a little bit - LOL! I have a thing for square cards these days, not sure why! I used ei-ei-o from the Alley Way Stamps - I love this little chicken!!! I thought a plaid, paper pieced chicken would be cool.

Have an awesome day & be sure to go check out the DS DT's cards!!!

BEE~CAUSE / DD #3 & RS #12...

I had some scraps left over from my 'bee' card on Saturday, so I decided to use some up! I just LOVE these happy colors and wanted to use them again for the current Dynamic Duos. And I just HAD to use the RetroSketch again - when I first made a card with this layout I 'kinda' liked it, but I have started to really LOVE it! The image is from the Alley Way Stamps, from the set ei-ei-o. It is SO ADORABLE!!! I just love bumblebees! I am dying to ink up that chicken, too!

Have an awesome day!

ps ~ The embossing folder is Hexagon Illusion, which I found and ordered from The Craft Barn. (Donna, your email wasn't available for me to reply to your comment.)
