"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

ZOOM ZOOM / LIM #123...

Hey, I'm back with a card! I played along with Less is More - what a challenge to do a one layer card! I tried to think outside the box a little and added the bold chevron background to look like layer. Using a sticky note, I punch 2 of the edges and used it to mask out the white "layer". I used Priceless Joy, Background Basics and Ka~Pow from The Alley Way Stamps.

It's been a while since I played with Less Is More -  I wish I was able to play along with all the challenges I love every week! This week's theme is "Need for Speed"... that's why my little car has raced off the edge of the card - LOL!

Love & hugs,

HI / TAWS Day 2 Sneak Peeks, DD #26 & LIM #91...

Well, Happy Monday! Can you believe it? Where did my weekend go? We had a family reunion, a trip to the pumpkin patch, I made 6+ dozen cookies for a bake sale... and poor Jeff worked 2 overtime shifts (16 hours!) on Saturday!

Here's a quick card that I made using Awesome Blossom  and the soon to be released Background Check, by The Alley Way Stamps. Well, it would have been quick had I not messed up 3 times stamping and had to start over - LOL! The sentiment is TAWS, too - I just forget which set! Go check out the TAWS blog for your chance to win BACKGROUND CHECK!!! And come back tomorrow for another sneak peek!

I had the pleasure of playing with Dynamic Duos and Less Is More! WOOHOO - great way to start the week!

Thanks for stopping by!

THANKFUL / PDCC #155, LIM #90 & FTL #213...

Hello! Popping in with another quick card! I just love this leaf image from The Alley Way Stamps' It's Fall About You set. It's perfect for this time of year!!! I swear it took me longer to find my supplies than it did to put it together - LOL! I need to clean my craft area.... sigh....

I played along with 3 awesome challenges - Less is More, The Play Date Cafe (great color palette) and this week's Clean & Simple Sketch!

 Thanks for stopping by!

U ROCK / LIM #84...

Hello - here's a quick little mid-day card, using the new Sushi Bar set (again!) from The Alley Way Stamps. In case you missed it, I have a personal challenge to use this set EVERY day this week! I once again went to  the internet to grab some images of Japanese script and origami paper to print out, since I haven't any! After putting the main papers/image on the card, it needed a little balance, so I added the bling!

I thought these colors made a perfect fortune cookie...

Joining the Less is More Challenge, whose theme is "tearing".

Bye for now...

GET WHALE SOON / LIM #73...

Here's a quick little card using the Alley Way Stamp's Sea Mates and Kitchen Gadgets. For the sentiment, I took "get well soon" and only inked 'get' and 'soon'. That left just enough room to ink and stamp 'whale' from the Sea Mates set. The waves were cut using a scallop punch. It's hard to see, but I outlined the top of the waves in stickles.

I am also playing along with Less is More Challenge, to use paper piecing.

Check back for more Alley Way yumm~y~ness a bit later!

NEW IN TOWN? / PP #93 & LIM #65...

Good morning! I can't believe it's Wednesday already! I had the pleasure of inking up a Lawn Fawn set I got int he mail last week, Gnome Sweet Gnome! I love this set & I really love this flamingo! How fun!
I set the type for the sentiment, the font is Firefly, I think. I thought it would be fun to have an "old" and a "new" flamingo, I distressed the one on the right just a bit!

I played along with this week's Paper Players challenge, using ribbon, a square card and designer paper. I also played with the sketch from Less is More! Hope I don't get dinged for too many embellishments, but you know I just can't help myself - I HAVE to use buttons - LOL!

Bye for now & thank for stopping by!

LIGHTHOUSE / LIM #7, OSAT #54, SOC & EAC #134...

I don't know about you, but I have very few masculine images! I drew this little landscape, Lighthouse, for my brother's birthday card. The image was colored with Copics. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Challenges:
Simply Less Is More - Masculine C&S
One Stitch at a Time - Something for the Boys
Sisterhood of Craft - Let's Hear it for the Boys
Everybody's Art - birthday

Bye for now...

DOGWOOD / WFCo New Release & LIM #6...

One of my favorite flowering trees is the Dogwood, and I especially love the ever elusive pink ones. Apparently, my grandma says you can buy ones that are supposed to be pink, but they may not be! This new digi, Dogwood, is available at the Wax Fruit Company.

I also put together a set of religious Easter sentiments and verses called Easter Blessings, a set of 12.

This card is for the "Off the Edge" one layer challenge for Less is More.

bye for now...

CALLA LILIES / CPS #208 & LIM #5...

I love flowers, can you tell? This new digi features Calla lilies... they are one of my favorites! You can find it in my shop!

I used the sketch from Card Positioning Systems this week, and obviously took some liberties - lol! I also used pastels for the Less is More Challenge! I just hope those ladies think it's C#S enough... maybe not?

Thanks for stopping by!
