"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

AMALIA / Dilly Beans New Release & iSpy #4

Happy Leap Year!!! Can you believe it's the last day of February already? What happened to it? The Dilly Beans got a very happy surprise from Megan, the artist/owner of the Silly Dilly Beans shop yesterday - NEW DIGIS!!! WOOHOOOOOOO!

For this card I used Amalia, isn't she adorable? I combined her with the Heart Flower Border, and used the sentiments from the Flowers & Love set. I think she turned out really sweet!

I also COULD NOT pass up this awesome sketch from the iSpy challenge - LOVE IT! Although I didn't use the other panel with the scallops at the bottom, since my image panel was already kinda big!

Thanks so much for dropping in!

BLESSING / CQC #126...

Happy colourQ day!!! (Officially known as Tuesday) We have some awesome colors today over at the colourQ, they are so bright and sunny to me - unlike the weather we've been having! I decided to go clean and simple with this one, pulled out my trusty Papertrey Inc. supplies and got busy for about 10 minutes!

I have a new adventure starting on Saturday, a new sketch challenge called retrosketches - you'll have to check it out!

Bye for now,

BUG & ROO KIT & PENNY / BLD Inspiration...

The sentiment is from the Wax Fruit Company, Sweet and Sassy Sisters.

Make sure you go see the other DT's FAB inspiration!

These colors also go with the new colourQ challenge out today...

Thanks for stopping by!

BUNNY EGGS / TPE #137...

Good morning and Happy Monday! Hope you're off to a good week... we're doing better here. The kids are back at pre-school and I'm back at work. We have a new challenge for you this week over at the Pink Elephant - a sketch - YAY!!! I used an image I drew last Easter for the Wax Fruit Company, called Bunny Eggs. It's one of my favorites!

For the strips of paper, I used a border punch to punch the edges to five them a little flair. The image is colored with Copics and the framing mat was cut with a Nestabilities deckled rectangle die. I got stuck for a while on this card - I printed my image too big & didn't realize until I had done all that coloring - LOL!

This is the sketch...

Thank you so much for dropping by today, I really appreciate it!

FRIDA'S ROSES / DB #13...

Hello, I have one more card for you today... this one is for today's Dilly Beans Challenge #13, In Stiches. I used the image, Frida's Roses, and added some faux stitching to the side of the image. I love the shape of these flowers, and her hair -what an awesome image!

Make sure you go see the other designers' work & I hope you get a chance to play along with us this week!

Bye for now...

SEWING THE LEAVES / ADFD New Release...

Good afternoon! We're still sick around here, but I mustered enough energy to make a card for today's new release over at A Day for Daisies called Fairy Work, Fairy Play. These little fairies are just adorable! I borrowed a technique that my friend Lori used last week on a card in this post! I loved the look of it, however I still think it looks better on her card! The image I used is called Sewing the Leaves.

Make sure you go check out the beautiful cards by the rest of the ADFD team... you won't be disappointed!

Thanks for stopping by!

WHIMSICAL GIRL HEART GARDEN / DS #40...

Good morning, I am running late today - more of an explanation of that on the previous post! We have a brand new sketch for you today over at the Deconstructed Sketch, I love it's simplicity and versatility! I dug out a cute image from Bee Crafty called Whimsical Girl Heart Garden, so adorable!

Hope you get to join us in using this awesome sketch this week!

Have a great day!

UNIQUE / K Funk New Release...

Karen Funk has an AWESOME release today over at Design House Digital! Her latest kit, Be Unique, is so perfect for a little boy or family layout!

This pic is one I took a few weeks ago at the park, I thought Alex looked so cute peeking around that beam! Jeff and the kids and I are all home sick now... The kids started the week off with the beginnings of sinus infections and ear infections in both their ears, and now we have colds or something. My house isn't a fun place to be right now!

 Thanks for stopping by!

LITTLE BEANS OLIVE / BLD Inspiration & STR #102...

Here's another card for you today, for the byLORIdesigns Tuesday Inspiration post. Make sure you pop over to see what the other designers came up with! I used an image from a new line called Little Beans Olive. I just love her!

For the frame, I use a rectangular Nestability to make a "faux polaroid" frame... not too shabby! The papers are from My Mind's Eye, Miss Caroline Howdy Doody. The gorgeous wrinkly ribbon is from my sweet friend Sherry Ann, and you can buy it from her, too!

This paper reminded me of the inspiration photo over at The Shabby Tea Room this week, I know my card isn't very shabby, nor did I use a doily - but I'm hoping they won't mind me linking up anyway!

I also played along with:
Lollipop Crafts - Anything Goes
Always Crafting - Anything Goes
One Stitch at a Time - Use a digi

Have an awesome day!

GIRL WITH FLOWER / CQC #125 & iSpy #3...

Good morning! It's a beautiful day and I think the newest colour palette for this week's colourQ Challenge is AWESOME! I am loving anything with gray these days! I also got to play along with this week's iSpy Sketch... wow - this one really intimidated me! Once I 'condensed' it down, it seemed more manageable and I really like it!

The little banner is just ribbon, I added sticky tape to the back top & then wrapped it around the baker's twine..The paper is from My Mind's Eye, Darling Dear.

I used this cute image from Jellypark, called Girl with Flower. Isn't she sweet?

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

LOVE CAN TRANSFORM / TPE #136...

Good morning! Hope your weekend was fabulous! Mine was very interesting... but I'll get to that later! We tart a new challenge over at the Pink Elephant today, WOOHOO! Our challenge this week is Print ItAll you have to do is use something with script, words, print on it. I decided to write around the edge of my image.

This image is from A Day for Daisies' exclusive February Club Kit, and is called Love Hurts. You can only get your hands on this image by being a club kit member! Check it out here - just scroll down half the page to see February's kit. Even though the image is called Love Hurts, I loved that the end of his little quills were turning into hearts, so that's why I wrote, "Love... has the power to transform...".

Okay, so about my interesting weekend... Jeff and I went to a dinner theater Saturday night. We were supposed to go Friday, but I had to re-schedule a couple months ago - I forgot he'd be on the evening shift. Anyhow,  when we walked in and were seated at a large round table for eight, I thought the lady sitting next to me looked REALLY familiar. A few minutes later we were all talking and long story short, she and I lived in the same dorm at the small liberal arts college I graduated from! Not only that, we had been casual friends. Now she and her family live here and she teaches at the high school! How cool is that?!?

Have a great Monday!!!

We started a new challenge over at the A Day For Daisies blog, too - you should play along! These are the colors of the challenge:

I also loosely based my card on this sketch by Crazy 4 Challenges.
