"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

KITTY FOR CHRISTMAS / ADFD New Release...

I am in LOVE with the new release today, All Wrapped Up, over at A Day For Daisies!!! The images of Christmas~y kittens and puppies and bunnies is ADORABLE!!! I decided to make a little gift box with this image Kitty for Christmas

I used this digital scrap kit by Dani Mogstad, called Fa-La-La. This bundle has lots of goodies in it, including a lot of printable containers. I took one of them and modified it to make this box. The bow is made from 6 strips of paper. I used the papers from the kit to paper piece the image.

MAISIE GRACE / Sweet Shoppe Challenge...

Here's one of Maisie's Christmas pictures. The December Portfolio over at the Sweet Shoppe is to pick challenges from the previous 11 months, and there was a really cool one to cut shapes out of your background, so I chose to do these cool snowflakes! The kit is by Kristin Cronin-Barrow, called Deck the Hall: Classic.

SNOWBALL GIRL / DS #31 & Jellypark Challenge...

Good morning! The kiddies are home sick today, the weather here has gone from freezing to the 70's over and over again the past month, I don't know if we'll ever shake all these little bugs going around!

This morning's card is for this week's Deconstructed Sketch. It turned out a little differently than it was supposed to, I suppose, but I think it still works - LOL! The light blue scallop is from felt - which is the theme of the Jellypark Challenge. I put stickles on the snow and snowball in her hand. The image is from Jellypark, called Snowball Girl.

Bye for now...

MERRY / Sweet Shoppe Designs Challenge...

Here's another pic from Alex's Christmas "Photo Shoot"... he was a regular Zoolander, making all kinds of wacky faces and carrying on like a male diva! He grabbed this hat and I'm so glad the photographer got this shot! I have to warn you, I bought 20 of the pics, so you'll more than likely see a few more layouts with them, since I haven't even scrapped my favorite yet! I'm thinking of having this one printed and framed to hang each Christmas...

I made this for one of the MANY challenges over at the Sweet Shoppe... This kit is called Tis the Season, by Zoe Pearn! I love it!

Thanks for stopping in,

TREE TRIMMING / CQC #115...

Okay, I promise that my next few posts will be cards - LOL! We decorated the tree and let the kids help this year, even though they still tried to put the ornaments in their mouths from time to time. They were so excited! This Christmas has been so amazing so far, they are at such a fun age!

I used various papers on this one, I can't even remember where I got them all! The kit is from Sabrina's Creations Clean & Simple no11 templates.

The colors are for this week's colourQ challenge!

SIMPLY MAGICAL / DHD Speed Scrap...

I had a blast Saturday night at the monthly (online) Design House Digital Speed Scrap! A nice group of ladies log on, chat and scrap in what I like to think of as the "Olympics" of digital scrapping. You have 2 hours, the first hour you are doled out directions (no visuals!) on laying out your page, and then you have an hour to finish it up! SO FUN!!! Of course the best part is seeing how well you interpret the directions and how everyone else did, too!

I had these Christmas pics taken of the kids, they turned out so AWESOME! I couldn't wait to make a layout with them... honestly I will probably do another LO with them soon!

I used Deena Rutter's Jolly Holiday kit. Love these bright colors!

See you soon!

UP ON THE ROOFTOP / DHD December Scraplift...

Yes, I managed to get Jeff up on the roof again this year to hang the lights. I have to admit, I had to go up to hand him something and it was pretty scary. But I love that he's willing to do it for the kids! They were so happy when we turned them on....

I used Robyn Meierotto's Vintage Holiday for this month's Design House Digital Scraplift challenge. The frames and buttons are from other kits.

Bye for now,

GROWING / DHD December Blueprint...

This is a pic of the kids taken at their preschool, I was VERY pleasantly surprised that it turned out so good! And they're sitting so close and not even pinching each other - LOL!

I used this month's Blueprint # 11, by the talented Gennifer Bursett over Design House Digital. They have a blueprint challenge each month, and you can always pick up the Blueprint for free. The papers and tag are from Lori Whitlock's kit, Autumn Afternoon.
