"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

WELCOME NOVEMBER...

Halloween is fun, but now we're really getting into the holiday season! This stamp set, Harvest Home by Stampin' Up! is so amazing! Great for stamping (using Stazon) and watercoloring! The strip of SU! Designer Series Paper is from Frosty Day... beautiful paper, I love it!

The watercoloring on this card was done using the classic stampin' pads. While the pad is still closed, squish the top & bottom together and when you open it, some of the ink will have transferred to the lid. Dip your paint brush in water, pick up a little bit of color & fill in the image. Pretend there is an imaginary light shining on the image from one side, and set out to darken the side farthest from the light. When the first "wash" of light color starts to dry, gradually apply more "washes" of color to the farthest side... and remember practice makes perfect!

Come back soon - I'll be putting up a little tutorial to show watercoloring... once I find the USB cable for the camcorder!

Bye for now,
