"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

HAPPY DAY OLIVER / TGF FFF...

Isn't this little guy a cutie?!? These stamps are SO MUCH FUN to color! I've been working on this card off/on all day...

This is my card for this week's Farm Fresh Friday over at the Greeting Farm (the maker of this stamp set, Happy Day). I know this is a pretty busy card, but it IS for a kid's birthday! I just got these papers, Lil Robots from My Minds Eye, cute ~ huh? I couldn't wait to use them! I really love stripes (poor Alex, most of his shirts are striped!).

Gotta go give Alex a bath, but maybe I'll be back later!

POPPIES / USSIS #49...

Aren't these Poppies amazing? I just LOVE poppies! I wish they grew in Alabama - lol!

This is the one year anniversary of Uncripted Sketches blog - YAY! We're having a little treasure hunt, so go check it out!

These iamges are from the newest release over at There She Goes... I just couldn't pass them up! All the papers are retired Stampin' Up!, I really wish these b&w papers were still around!

I'm cooking breakfast & then we're doing yardwork, I hope you have a great Saturday & also that you get a chance to play along with Unscripted!

BEE~UTIFUL FLOWER / CTD #86 & DDCC #1...

Good morning! It's just me & the kiddos today, later we're going to see the Easter Bunny... so this is gonna be quick!

I obviously stepped out from the {my} norm for this card - not only the colors, but also the style! I used one of Kathy Martin's Digital Doodles - it was free to club members! Isn't it CUTE?!? I love the bumble bee! She has a little challenge , too! This digi seemed to be destined for use with the Color Throwdown colors for this week...

With the patterned paper I created a loose weave... the image is paper pieced with cardstock - I wanted solid colors for this. The sentiment is Papertrey Ink & the buttons are Basic Grey. Ribbon - who knows?

Well, Maisie's having a big ole FIT, gotta go!

STITCHED FELT FLOWER FOR MOM / CAC #7...

With the hubby & kids in bed... mommy gets to play! Too bad mommy doesn't get much sleep - lol!

It's April 1st... and a day of firsts! This morning I got to be a guest designer for the first time (hopefully not the last!) at The Play Date Cafe - YAY! This is also the first time I had the pleasure of playing along with Compose a Card with Becky - SUPER FUN! I also got to die cut felt and do saddle stitching for the first time... WHAT AN AWESOME DAY!!!

I finally got smart & read all my favorite blogs in Google Reader, which I was doing yesterday when I happened accross this very cool, nifty challenge! I used Papertrey Ink sets for the sentiment & the flower stems. The flowers & Rickrack are dies cut felt. I swear this is the simplest card I've done in a while... it was really fun!

Have a great night!

BELLA TOILE TILES / PDC #23 & TSSC #115...

Good morning! Imagine my surprise (& me doing the "Hot Dog" dance) when I got an email from Julie Marray over at the Play Date Cafe asking me to be a guest designer!!! SUPER COOL!

Although I have a hard time with monochromatics, I think I actually did okay! It's kinda on the shabby/chic side - less shabby more chic... I probably should have shabbied it more... sorry, I think I'm talking to myself ...

I started making Thursdays my "Play Date with the Play Date" a while back... they have great colors every week! Usually I check in first thing on Thursday mornings and spend the rest of the day scheming... I don't make it every week, but when I do miss a color combo, I make it a point to play the next week! If you've got the time, please head over to the Play Date Cafe & join in!!!
I combined their lovely colors with Mary Jo's sketch this week, but again I took some liberties - lol!

So yeah, the colors were a little hard - but I do love a challenge! The colors reminded me of Dutch Delft tiles (my hubby's family is Dutch Indo) so I knew I had to try my hand at making some using the cracked glass technique! Using the Stampin' Up! background stamp, Bella Toile, I inked up with Pacific Point ink (retired) and then watercolored some Bashful Blue into it. The I did the cracked glass... one of my tiles didn't want to "crack" so much!

Thanks so much for visiting - make sure to join us at the Play Date Cafe this week!
