"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

VALENTINE CANDY JAR / Hybrid Project for Deena Rutter...

Don't you just L-O-V-E Valentine's Day? It's such a wonderfully fun day to celebrate and a great reason make cute~sy crafts! This Valentine Candy Jar is one of those projects you can do last minute, you probably already have everything you need!

What you'll need:
  • A digital kit - I used Deena's Truly Papers and Truly Birds D-Cuts
  • Inkjet Vellum (used here), or another inkjet paper
  • A glass jar - I recycled this jam jar
  • Paper trimmer, border punch
  • Cupcake liners
  • Twine or ribbon
  • Adhesive - I used adhesive strip.
How to make it:
1 - Measure your jar, height and width around. Try to pick a jar that isn't tapered - if it is, you'll have trouble wrapping the paper around evenly. Also try to pick one with a small top - that works better with the cupcake liners.
2 - Layout your label and print. Trim it. I used a scallop border punch on the top of mine.
3 - Place a strip of adhesive on the ends and wrap it tightly around the jar.
4 - Put your goodies in the jar, cover the opening with a cupcake liner that matches your label and screw the top on over it. Put a strip of adhesive on top of the lid, cover with the second liner and secure with your twine or ribbon.
5 - Voilà! You're all finished! Now you can give this cute gift away, or keep it for yourself!

Thanks for stopping by and happy hybrid crafting!
