"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

TRIO FLOWERs / CTD #104 & FTL #102...

It seems all this week by the time I've gotten the kiddos to bed (so small job!) my 'mojo' has left the building... she's usually there once I wake up, but by then I don't have time to play with her! Here's another quick lunchtime card...

I love the colors at the Color Throwdown this week, just awesome! And the Fall-to Layout is very inspiring this week as well!

This card is only 3x3" - really small! This card maybe took 7 miutes... but I'm starting to like the really simple cards these days! This is sorta my go-to style when I'm short on time. I probably could have kept the pierced lines straighter if I'd done them before I added the bling & butterflies... the guide kept slipping!

We have a busy weekend, Jeff has overtime & we have a family lunch-thingy tomorrow & then church on Sunday. Got Alex signed up for a little pre-school 2 mornings a week starting the first of September... he'll have so much fun! Maisie still has no teeth, but I know they're on their way...

Hope your weekend is awesome!

ELLA LOLLIPOP / C4C #48...

I started this post & realized I'd forgotten to color her neck ~ so I had to re-photograph her!

I used the sketch from this week's Crazy 4 Challenges! Love these kind of layouts - they're so versatile! And the stamp is from the oh-so-talented Lori Boyd, a digi called Lollipop Ella!

I loved coloring as a kid, who knew I'd like it even more now! Copics are so much fun! As a matter of fact, I waiting for about 25 more to show up in the mail... my rack will then be more than full & I'll have a few markers that won't fit! Maisie is still on her "hold me or I'll scream" kick.... night number 4 last night... sigh.... I'm praying she'll be better tonight!

Bye for now!

FATHER KNOWS BEST / JAI #28 & CPS #178...

Aren't these just the best guy colors? I love them! It's also nice to make a "man"
card every once in a while - it's so hard to not "bling" it out, though!

I had about 20 minutes this morning to stamp, Maisie hasn't been respecting her bedtime or Mommy's stamp time lately... I chose to use the colors from Just Add Ink, and their 'manly' challenge and pair it with Card Positioning Systems' sketch... I'm a sucker for square cards!

The small strip of crimped paper was in my stash... all ready to go ~ just had to cut it down! I ran the card front through the BigShot with my SUPER FAVE Cuttlebug folder. I used a Copic to color in some of the leaves. All in all, just a really quick card!

Bye for now...

HERE FOR YOU / CQC #44 & FTL #101...

Here's a quick card, you know how much I love making these border punch flowers! I hadn't used my loopy punch to make one so I had to give it a go...

I was inspired by the latest Fall-to Layout for this card and paired it with the colourQ's latest offering of yummy~ness!

The flower ended up looking like a sunflower to me, so I found the biggest button in my jar of black Papertrey Ink buttons (I have a jar for each color!) and then decided to layer on a couple more PTI buttons for good measure... I mean if one button is awesome, 3 have to be pure genius, right?!?

Thanks for dropping in & hope to see you play along this week @ the colourQ!

HANNAH LOLLIPOP w/ CAKE / TPE # 78 & CP #75...

The theme over at today's Pink Elephant Challenge is "Something Yummy"! And what could be yummy~er than a big ole' glittery cake?!?

SOMETHING YUMMY!

For my YUMMY card, I used the sketch from Card Patterns, this week. It's not exact, you know how I often take "liberties"! Lori sent the DT some Lollipops to play with , and this is Hannah Lollipop, holding a big cake! Lori design Lollipops, Sugar Sticks and Puddle Jumpers. What's the difference? Well, Sugar Sticks have stick arms & legs, Lollipops have arms & legs you can color, but only eyes on their faces & Puddle Jumpers have full faces & arms & legs you can color.... I'm pretty sure I've gotten it right!

I used to add my supply list at the bottom of my posts, but then got away from that & started to list the major items in paragraph form in my posts. Obviously those were being overlooked ... and after some anonymous "chastisements" sent to me in comment form (lol), I have decided to resume posting a supply list, to the best of my recollections. I'm not usually the type to compose a list as I compose my cards, though, so please email me if you ever see me use something you're curious about! I don't mind & actually I'd love to hear from you!

By for now & I hope you get to play along with us at the Pink Elephant this week!
