"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

VIOLETS / PDCC #24 & FTL #85...

This is about as C&S as I seem to get... I will say that this card only took about 20 minutes though!

You know I love playing along with the Play Date Cafe... and apparently last night I remembered the "names" of the colors they used in their challenge and not the color itself. So their lavender and my lavender are quite different... but I'll enter it anyway for kicks! I do like how it turned out though! I used this week's Fall-To-Layout, which I thought would really work with these stamps [Papertrey Ink/ Year of Flowers: Violets] and the colors [Stampin' Up!/ Rich Razzleberry & Lovely Lilac].

So this is the first of three quick cards I made since last night - I'll be back!

BLOOMING GOOD DAY / SSSC #63 & SR #14...

Well, unlike this cutie, I have NO NEED to water anything... we just had not only a downpour, but tornado warnings & apparently one did touch down.... I can tell you, even 3 years after the tornado that ripped though our little town of Enterprise, EVERYONE gets uneasy when those alarms go off...

So I combined Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch with Stampin' Royalty's color challenge this week. I try really hard to do all my favorite challenges each week, but I often don't make it! The image is from the Pure Innocence line by Heather Ellis... she has digis at Etsy & her personal blog, but this is an actual stamp from My Favorite Things. The ones produced at MFT are different than her digis... so I 'have' to collect both.... just awful, right? LOL!

I got a little crazy with the bling on this one... but I have been neglecting my rhinestones a bit since the holidays, so I more than made up for it here. Of course after I added them to the bottom of her paper-pieced dress they looked kinda silly, so I took a marker and added some "scallop" trim to the rest of the dress. The only other thing of note is that I brushed the paisley embossing folder with the So Saffron ink before I embossed the white panel. I love doing that!

Bye for now, thanks for popping by!

SWEET PEA / PTW #38 & TSG #49...

I love this color combo - so sweeeeeet! It 's so spring~y, too... I got some stamping time early last night when Jeff took a nap before work & the kiddos went to bed...YAY! SO ~ this is the first card for today...

I've really been diggin' the Papertake Weekly sketches... and square cards for that matter... obviously I took a couple small liberties with this sketch. Not sure why, but a LOT of my cards lately have been sqaure! I also played around with the color challenge from There She Goes blog, since this set is from there (she goes), I figured that would be nice! It's called Sweet Peas, and it was just released. I have more flower stamps than a botanical garden... but I can never have too many - lol!

The papers are ALL Papertrey Ink... and I used Copics to color the image. The ric rac die is PTI, also. The EF is Cuttlebug... you know how I {heart} my EFs...

Back in a bit...

LOLLI ANYA / MTSC #68...

Here's a little cutie I've been dying to get my hands on.... and I did! When I was her age I would BEG for those giant lollipops every time I saw them... of course the few times my mom gave in I never even came close to finishing it...

Yay ~ I got to play along with Mercy's sketch this week! I've been holding onto this Basic Grey Lemonade paper for quite I while, so I decided to pull it out & finally use it. Doesn't it go nicely with Lolli Anya from The Greeting Farm? I paper-pieced her outfit & hairbows, she also has rhinestones in her pigtails. What you can't see is that I put Crystal Effects (Stampin' Up!) on the lolli to make it shiny...

Have an awesome day!

JUST BEACHY / CQC #27, OCC & TPE #61...

The new colors over at colourQ are masculine this week... not something I usually work with, but lots of fun when I do! When Jeff saw this card, he said "That's MINE, I want that card for my birthday..." So now I just have to try not to misplace it between now & August ~ lol!

This card also worked for a couple other challenges, not just colourQ. Our Creative Corner wanted buttons (think I used enough?) and the Pink Elephant was all about nature...

This is a retired Stampin' Up! set called Just Beachy from 2009's Occasions Mini catty. Jeff loves the beach & the idea of surfing (he's never had the pleasure - but it's his dream) so when this set came out he insisted I buy it! We live about 90 miles north of the Gulf of Mexico - so I know when the kids are older we'll be going more & I'll have a use for these when I scrapbook our beach adventures!

Have a gorgeous day!
