"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

HAPPY TRENDY FALL TREES / DCBD #148...

Here's a quick, simple card with some great fall colors...

This card used the colors from the DCBD Challenge #148. It features the cute little Stampin' Up! set, Trendy Trees.
Good night!

THANKSGIVING SPLENDOR / CQC2 & 2S4Y #37...

Hope everyone had a great, long weekend! I had to work today, but it was a nice day anyway!

For this week's 2 Sketches 4 You Challenge & colourQ, I used the oh-so-beautiful Autumn Splendor set, from Stampin' Up!

On the base of the card, at the bottom, I used the bleaching technique. I found out a long time ago that bleaching on Bravo Burgundy produces a pale yellow similar to So Saffron. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the Pumpkin Pie 'edging' that sorta looks like rick-rack... and my modern label punch for the little tag.

Thanks for stopping by!

CURRIED PATCHWORK / CTD #63 & 2S4Y #36...

Take #2 - I had to try this sketch again...

...since I had forgotten the scallop on the bottom of the last card I did using 2 Sketches 4 You weekly challenge! I also played Color Throwdown - aren't these great colors? Plus it was a great excuse to use a new die! One thing that didn't show well was the white area is actually embossed with large dots!

Bye for now...

FLOWER TREAT CUP / CQC1 & 2S4Y #36...

A rather loose interpretation, I know...

I was trying to do this sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You by memory, and apparently didn't have the best memory of it... I forgot the scallops at the bottom - sorry!

This would be a great gift/card for a bird, since it's full of seed, but you'd probably have to help him open it - lol!

Have a great night!

TWICK OR TWEET II / PEC #35, 365C #220 & MTSC #42...

I couldn't resist...

Halloween colors are SO FUN!!! For the very vague suggestion of a cobweb, I folded a piece of vellum as if I were going to cut a snowflake, but instead I cutt a spider web... I actually had to go back and edge a little in black to make it show up better... the rest of the card is pretty straight forward... since it's late, I'll edit this post to include more info tomorrow...

Good night!
