"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

LAYERED DAISIES / CQC1 & Mojo #107...

That's right, I'm still awake! Here's a technique I've been wanting to try...

This card is based on the Mojo Sketch #107, such a great sketch!!! I paired it with my new color challenge over at colourQ!

I used the Daisies Flower #2 Bigz Die, and cut out 3 of the large daisy, and 2 each of the medium & small out of Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White and threw in a layer of Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper. For the gray and white panels, I inked my Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plate with Basic Gray & embossed white cardstock. So awesome! I finished up with a Pretty in Pink Sherbert button and some Melon Mambo ribbon.

Off to bed!

SPOOKY SWEET CENTERS / PIO #18, PEC #35 & SSSC #38...

What else can you do but stamp when you can't sleep? And who could resist making an early Halloween treat with Stampin' Up!'s Sweet Centers stamp set & these cute little sweet treat cups?

I took the plunge & decided to "Pile it On!".... 3 challenges at once. Besides Pile it On!, I also used the Pink Elephant challenge & Karen's sketch over at the Sweetest Thing.

The designer paper used is also SU!, called Cast-A-Spell. I used scalloped nesties for the Perfect Plum cardstock base of the treat cup. What you probably can't see is that the Pumpkin Pie cardstock is dry embossed with a texture plate & the Big Shot.

Thanks so much for stopping by...

SERENE SNOWFLAKES / CQC1 & FTL #62...

I hope everyone had a wonderful World Card Making Day yesterday! I made this card yesterday, but never was able to post it... I was busy on another project...

For a long time now I've wanted to start my own color challenge blog, and this weekend I finally decided to just do it! I love challenges, and I love making cards based on multiple challenges, and I find that I always run out of color challenges long before I run out of sketch challenges each week! So anyone out there reading this, please join me over at colourQ, and let's have some fun!

For this card I used Stampin' Up!'s Serene Snowflakes, and made a very "un-traditional" Christmas card, well at least the colors are - Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive & Basic Gray. I used Clean & Simple's FTL #62 for the layout - I love their sketches!!!

Have a great day!

CHOO CHOO B'DAY / DCBD #147 & RSCC #17...

While I'm thrilled to use my little Choo Choo set from Stampin' Up!, I admit I'm less than thrilled with the outcome of this card. But here it is anyway...lol! As they say, we're often our own worst critic.

I really liked the colors for the Raspberry Suite Color Challenge this week... very boyish, so I paired it with Diva Coffee Break Designs sketch challenge.
My late dinner is ready... veggie curry, so I'll be back tomorrow to finish up the details!

Have a great night!

SINCERE THANKS a Medallion/ PPA10 & PCPCC #36...

Okay, cuky name for a post... sorry! Late at night my brain switches over to dork mode, and the strangest things suddenly seem so cool... I digress. I was excited to get to use my Medallion stamp from Stampin' Up! on this quick card, though!

It's been a while since I played along with Paper Craft Planet's Color Challenge, so I decided to check it out this week & the colors seemed perfect to use with what I had in mind for this stamp. The inspiration for the colors was a cat, Princess Gizzy, and since Millie (the challenge admin) had picked Basic Black, More Mustard, Close to Cocoa & Very Vanilla, I figured I would do the same. Over at Pals Paper Arts, the theme for this week's challenge is "Gratitude & Thanks", my card also applied. (If you have not checked PPA out, please do - they are a very nice group to stamp with!!!)

Anyways, besides using the exquisite Medallion stamp, I also used Sincere Salutations for the sentiment. I stamped the Medallion 3 times, using Basic Black, More Mustard, and Close to Cocoa ink & then cut out 1/4 of each, which measured 2-1/8". I then cut 3 squares of equal size out of the 3 cardstocks. The Very Vanilla base they are on measures 4-5/8". I wish you could see that each 'tile' is raised on the base using dimensionals, but I couldn't photograph it well enough! I finished it off with a bit of black grosgrain ribbon.
