BIRD OF PARADISE / WFCo New Release, TPE #100 & JAI #67...

Good morning~ hope your weekend was awesome! We stayed pretty busy, LOTS of laundry was washed, folded & refolded (thanks to Alex & Maisie!), ironed... ah the joys of motherhood! I have a couple new images out today at the Wax Fruit Company, one of which I used for today's new Pink Elephant challenge! It's called "Bird of Paradise", quite an original name, no?

BOOKS / DHD Speed Scrap...

We had the regularly scheduled Speed Scrap at DHD this weekend... LOVE IT! It's like a mom's night out for me! Only I get to sit on my couch in my pj's, drink coffee, watch TV with the hubby & mingle & scrap with cool ladies online! Oh, and don't forget the nibbling of chocolate! Speed Scrap is a wild ride, you show up & don't know 'where' you're going until the very end & then you're 'there'!

HAPPILY EVER AFTER / USSIS #106 & DHD May Technique...

We have another awesome sketch for you over at Unscripted Sketches this week! My brother got married last November, and I made this page for he and his wife's "half" anniversary!

I used Karen Funk's digital scrap kit, Shabby Valentine... and played along with DHD's May Technique challenge.

ALL ABOUT ALEX / MScraps May Scraplift & DHD May

Last November we went up to the VA hospital (4 hours away) for Jeff's appointment. We make the trip twice a year. This time Jeff wanted to stay in a different hotel (nightmare) and we ended up checking out & getting a refund after 1/2 an hour (long story). BUT, while we were there, Alex was enthralled by the mirrored closet doors & I took a couple cute pics. I loved this one & decided to use the Design House Digital's May Inspiration Challenge to make a page. I also used the May Scraplift Challenge from Memory Scraps.

I got the word art by using the site, Wordle.

I saw it a couple years ago, and remembered it when I saw this challenge! You can plug in your colors/words. I put in a brown background & when I was finished, I took a screen shot of it, that's the only way to save it, unfortunately. When I put it into PE, I magic erased the background and then "weathered" the image... clear as mud, right?

MUCHA STYLE WILD POPPY / ADFD New Release & Challenge...

It's Friday, and you KNOW what that means - a NEW release from A Day for Daisies ~ Mucha Flowers!!! YAY!!! We also have a guest designer over at the ADFD blog for today's challenge, Jen Shults of The Deconstructed Sketch. She not only "guested" for us she also provided the sketch challenge!

I paper pieced the image and then used Copics to add some depth!

DADDY'S GIRL / SBC Sketch #252 & K. Funk New Release...

Karen Funk's newest digi scrap kit, Claire, is just GORGEOUS! I couldn't resist dragging out some pics of Maisie and her daddy from when she was only a month or so old. Every night he'd sit and hold her as she slept and most of the time he'd fall asleep, too! Sweet! I guess that's why she's such a daddy's girl now - lol!

I found a new "playground" - Scrapbook Challenges, and this sketch is from one of their sketch challenges for this month...

SCHOOL TIME LANDON / CQC #84 & BLD New Release Spotlight...

Lori, artist of byLORIdesigns, released some new cuties this month and each Tuesday we'll be spotlighting the newest kids on the digi block! This week was School Time and Sunday Best Landon. I worked on School Time Landon for this little faux tag card... what a sweetie!

I also used the newest colourQ challenge for this card!
