WELCOME SPRING / TPE #146 & FTL #188...

It's time for a new challenge over at The Pink Elephant, and it's all about spring! I pulled out this Paper Smooches set, Spring Groves, for this FAST card! It's hard to see, but the little flower was paper pieced with pink gingham paper, and there's a little paper pierced trail behind the butterfly. I hope you'll play with us this week and go see the other ladies "spring" projects!

LET IT SNOW / MM #18...

Good morning!!! Today is my last day as the featured Guest Designer at Merry Mondays - I have had SO much fun ~ AND gotten a jump on my Christmas cards! Have you played yet? You should!!!

Today I used a set from the Alley Way Stamps, Snow Much Fun! I love this wacky snowman, isn't he cute? Instead of coal for his eyes I used black rhinestones! I paper pieced his scarf to match the Echo Park paper I used.

WELCOME LITTLE ONE / C4C #134 & SS #100...

My brother and his wife are having a baby in June, and her shower was today! I made this card for them, using the cute little elephant from the Alley Way Stamps' Priceless Joy!

I'm also playing along with Sentimental Sunday's 100th challenge - WOOHOO, way to go ladies! The theme is children's cards. (I had the pleasure of redesigning their site at the beginning of the year!) I'm also playing with Crazy 4 Challenges, their theme is paper piecing ~ my favorite technique!

Happy Saturday! We have a brand new sketch for you over at RetroSketches today, and I love it! The original card by Kasia is actually one I CASE'd before, here. It just plain FUN!!!

I used this funky set, adoraBOWL by the Alley Way Stamps. Before the kids came, Jeff and I went bowling all the time, we even bought our own balls and shoes! So I HAD to have this set!!!

Here's the sketch, and I also used the colors from the Play Date Cafe, who I haven't played with in forever!

Tammy has an awesome new release for you today!!! It's called Call Your Mother, and it's adorable! I did some digital paper piecing with  this funky calico paper I found at Jessica Sprague by Kitchy Digitals. The image is called "Call Your Mother". I love this fun image, of course I love anything vintage or retro!

Our challenge this week at A Day For Daisies is to use calico, or another small patterned paper. You can play along here.

Good morning! We have a new challenge for you today over at Dilly Beans, use pastels! I don't have much pastel patterned paper, but I did manage to dig out this old Basic Gray paper, Porcelain. The image is called Amalia's Heart. I think she is just the sweetest!

We have a new sketch for you today over at the Deconstructed Sketch! And it's a cutie for sure! I decided to do some distressing... and used some soft suede to sponge the edges of some of the panels and make things a little rustic! The paper's are from My Mind's Eye, called Kraft Funday! These papers are by Robyn Meierotto, she also designs digi scrap kits over at  Design House Digital... and she has these papers here.

The images are from the Alley Way Stamps, called Gotta Bug?.... aren't they adorable?

Good morning! Here's a quick card for this week's Freshly Made Sketch! I really liked the simplicity of the sketch, and decided to keep my card simple, too! Plus I had scraps laying about that were perfect! The image is from Paper Smooches, Fruitastic. This image cracks me up - I love his big toothy grin!

YOU MAKE MY WORLD GO ROUND / CTD #189, FTL #187 & CP #162...

Good morning! I have a quick card today, using one of my new Lawn Fawn sets, Admit One. How cute is this set? I thought it would to fun to layer the stamps, using the colors from the Color Throwdown, and the sketches from Clean and Simple Stamping and Card Patterns.  I slipped each side of the white panel into the edge of an embossing folder and just embossed the edges.

I can't wait until the kids are a little older and we can take them to carnivals~ I always loved them growing up! The 2 we had in our area were the Chicken Festival (long time gone now) and the National Peanut Festival, which is still going strong! We'll probably take them to that one in November. I love the Kettle Corn and the roasted ears of corn. We don't usually ride anything except the ferris wheel, though, all the other rides are too jerky!
