"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

EMMA / TESC #118, ACLP #45 & SSC S&S June wk4...

Here's a cutie-patootie for a late afternoon card, where did I find the time...

2010 Stamp & Scrap Challenge June Week 4
'Paper Piecing'
@ Simply Scrapping Crafts

I made this card with the latest & greatest sketch from Taylored Expressions, using the color challenge from Die Cuts R Us, A Crafty Little Place and also the Simply Scrapping Crafts Stamp & Scrap challenge to paper piece - you KNOW I love me some paper piecing!

This stamp is Emma from artist Lori Boyd, sold by Claudia & Co. I picked it up at Die Cuts R Us... I love stamped images I can color/paper piece! The paper is from Basic Grey, Lemonade. I colored Emma with Copics and wrote in the sentiment. The EF is form Cuttlebug, the Moroccan Screen.

Have a great evening!

A DAY AT THE ZOO / SSC June Week 4 Color & Sketch Challenges...

While I must admit that EVERY day in my life is a day at the zoo, here's a LO of our family going to an ACTUAL zoo!

Back before I had Maisie Grace, I joined a community called Simply Scrapping Crafts, but as life got hectic I really didn't spend much time there. I recently re-connected with them, saw that my friend Lori had a group there and also saw that they were VERY scrap friendly, so I decided to get more involved... I'm so glad I did! What a wonderful group! And they have some awesome challenges, too! So I decided to do their color and sketch challenges for this digital layout!

Jeff had a VA appt. at the beginning of June about 4 hours away, so we made a little vacation out of it - SO FUN! We took the kiddos to the zoo, it was SO muggy & hot, we were drenched in sweat by the time we left! This LO has uses too many digital kits to even list... sorry! I'll try better in the future to keep track so I can post them.

Bye for now!

[PURPLE] GREEN THUMB / CD #71 & FTL #96...

Hello, and Happy Wednesday! The new Color Dare is up & boy, do I love these colors! Like a breath of fresh air!

Color Dare #71 - SOFT SKY, ELEGANT EGGPLANT
& PERFECT PLUM

I paired this week's Color Dare with the Fall-to Layout, which is so sweet this week! It's one of those sketches that could either be elegant or casual...

I used Green Thumb from Papertrey Ink for this card... it's been out on my table for 2 weeks and I've been having fun with it! The ribbon is from Martha - I found it at big lots... now I wish I'd bought more - lol! Like I need MORE ribbon...

Have an awesome day & play along with us at the Color Dare if you get a chance!

STARS & POLKA DOTS FOREVER / CQC #39 & 2S4Y # 55...

Good morning! It is Tuesday, and that means a smashing new challenge over at the colourQ...

I was feeling a little (okay~ maybe a LOT) patriotic when I found this color combination for this week's colourQ challenge and I immediately wanted to use little squares to emulate the inspiration photo... How perfect that Laura's sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 You had little squares! YAY!

This was a super quick card! I punched out 4 scalloped squares with Stampin' Up!'s Scallop Square punch and a 1 1/4 inch square of each color. Then I punched out a star from each color using the Small Star punch from SU!, and then punched out a 1 1/4" square around the negative space from the star, which I adhered using dimensionals to the solid color squares. Maybe a 10 minute card! The ribbon is also SU!, Real Red 3/4" Polka Dot Grosgrain - LOVE IT! This ribbon will disappear at the end of the day tomorrow - so if you like it, you better grab some!

Bye for now & thanks so much for dropping by!

POLKA DOT PALS / TSG #60...

Uh, yeah, I am still stamping at 1:37 am... well, actually now I'm blogging... sometimes the two seem like the same thing!

Sorry, this is a super quick post! I never do cards like this & with an hour left in the challenge I HAD to stay up & do it... I used a spankin' new set from There She Goes for the There She Goes Challenge to do a stair step card... how cute is this little duckie?!?

Bye for now...

[ENJOY] TEA FOR TWO ADDITIONS / Mojo #144 & CCCB #10...

With the kiddos in bed & the kitchen all clean (well, we went out for dinner, so nothing to clean - lol!) I found a little bit more stamping time - YAY!

I usually stay away from the colors pink & purple together, but I decided to take on the challenge of the two + pearls for the City Crafter Challenge! I paired it with this past week's Mojo sketch, which I really loved!

I used Papertrey Ink's Tea For Two Additions, as well as a few retired bits of Stampin' Up! paper & even a piece of embossed rose paper from a card I made a few days ago...

Thanks for stopping by!

CELEBRATE / ACT #36, PIO #25, TSSC #127, EIC #94 & CC #73...

By far this is the most challenges I have ever put together... what a weirdo I am - lol!

For this card...

Whew! Anyway, I used Papertrey Ink's flowers from Green Thumb to make my glittered "sparklers" - I loved sparklers on the 4th of July when I was a kid! I used Stampin' Up! Craft ink & then embossed with Dazzling Diamonds EP. The sentiment is also SU!, Celebrate Everything. This was the first time I'd inked it up!

Have a happy evening!

FULL OF LIFE / USSIS #61 & DCBD #182...

It's time for another Unscripted Sketches ~ Sketch It Saturday!!! Also, starting July 1st, we'll be celebrating "Christmas is July" at Unscripted - EVERYDAY! You'll definitely have to join us!

Since it's been TOO long since I played with the Diva's @ Diva Coffee Break Challenge, I decided to go check them out this week & I'm so glad I did! They had some AWESOME colors!!! So I used them with the Unscripted sketch for this super fun card!

The stamp is from a set called Full of Life from Stampin' Up! ~ the sayings are so funny! I also used the small star punch from SU!. I did some faux stitches, and used my swiss dots Cuttlebug EF for the white panel. For the panel the stars are punched from, I connected the 3 pieces of card stock with a thin sheet of paper adhered to the back of them, which I then punched the stars from. That panel is popped up with dimensionals. A white star brad, a snippet of ribbon & a turquoise brad finish it off!

Hope your Saturday is awesome!!!

HIPPY FLOWER HELLO / SCIC #8 & PPC #3...

Okay, obviously I had a problem finding a name for this card - lol! I always try to name them something I'll remember in case I want to find them again at some point...

I played along with 2 new~ish challenges, Stampin' Celebration! and Paper Player's Challenge. YAY - 2 challenges that I REALLY wanted to play with!

This was a really fast card, Stampin' Up! paper, so groovy, and dies from Papertrey Ink. A little bling, faux stitching, embossing & I was done!

Happy Friday!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY / SSSC #74 & TPE # 72...

Today is my parent's 38th wedding anniversary - WOW - how cool is THAT?!?

I decided to use Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch and paired it with the color challenge from The Pink Elephant. Pink & black & a perfect sketch, how could you go wrong?

This is the first time I used the Manhattan Flower EF from Stampin' Up! I actually had forgotten I owned it! I rubbed it with Pink Pirouette before embossing.

I'm cutting this short, because I have a couple cards I have to make...

Bye for now!

MESSY MAISIE / TPE Scrap #12 & JAI #22...

Here's a LO of Maisie's first solid food. She couldn't quite get the hang of it! SO after many spoonfuls going into her mouth & falling back out, we just put the cereal into a bottle for her - she was pretty happy with that...

Well, I missed the Just Add Ink challenge, but only by about 12 or so hours - lol! I forget where they are! I paired their colors with Lori's cool sketch at the Pink Elephant.

This is too many digi kits to count... I love being able to just mix & math them! And being able to change the colors to suit what I'm doing is the most awesome part!

Have a great night (or morning)!
