"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

GIRL & HEART / Jelly Park Challenge & PTW...

Happy Wednesday! I had some fun coloring this cute little image from Jelly Park, called Girl & Heart! She is SO SWEET! As long as I was coloring I decided to check out Jelly Park's challenge for this week, which is "thankful", so I added the sentiment so I could play along with them!

This paper is from Basic Grey's Oxford collection. Even though it's not Christmas paper, the colors seem kinda Christmas~y! My card stock colors here are Cherry Cobbler and Bashful Blue. The embossing folder is from my new stash, by QuickKutz.

The sketch (a little modified) is from PaperTake Weekly....

Thanks for stopping by!

BUG & ROO DOT / BLD Spotlight & USSIS #134...

Okay, this is my last post for today! I colored up one of Hannah Boyd's exquisite little digis, Dot! Isn't she the up-and-coming artist! I love her quirky and whimsical little images, and it's so neat to see how refined they are getting! Her images bring out the kid in me, and I love to throw in bright colors are bold textures when I work with them...

The trim is something I picked up from my local fabric store - all the hard work of pleating already done! It actually matches the pink of the cardstock better in real life... oh well! I also used some of my new QuickKutz embossing folders - I bought 9 - LOL! You know I "love me" some embossing! The paper is October Afternoon, Sidewalks.

I used this week's Unscripted Sketch, which is equally fun for this digi!

Thanks so much for popping in!

MERMAID IN A JAR / ADFD #32 & MM Sketch...

Hello! I'm a few days late posting this card - OOPS! This cute little mermaid is one of Tammy's latest digis from her Under the Sea release at A Day For Daisies... how adorable is this image?!? I did some digital paper-piecing here, using Cosmo Cricket's digital Snorkal papers. There's still time to play along with this color challenge at the ADFD blog - so check it out!

I also got to play along with this Magical Monday sketch challenge - love the sketch!

Bye for now...

SNOW FAMILY / Billy Beans Give-away & SSSC #145...

WOOHOO! See this CUTE image, Snow Family? It can be yours FREE, if you go visit Megan over at the Dilly Beans Challenge blog! And while you're there. you should become a follower, so you don't miss our first challenge this Friday!

I used stickles, glitter and rhinestones on this card. The papers are from My Mind's Eye. They make a fun, funky, non-traditional color palette for a Christmas card - I think I need more! The cardstock colors are SU's Poppy &  Kiwi Kiss and the ribbon is the new Calypso Coral.

I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, which went perfectly with this image!

THANKFUL / DHD Nov. Technique Challenge...

Here are a few of the people I am most thankful for... my wacky family! I made my own alpha for this one, for the DHD technique challenge to make your own alpha. I used paper from Lori Whitlock's Autumn Afternoon & Gennifer Bursett's Sweet Child of Mine Baby Boy.

This pic was taken when we went to the pumpkin patch - so funny! Here are a few others - look at the middle one - LOL!:

I also use the colourQ challenge from this past week...

Bye for now!

ME AND MAISIE / DHD Digi Morph...

We recently had a Digi Morph at Design House Digital, and now that it's been revealed it's safe for me to show it! The pic is actually one that I merged together from 2 less flattering pics of me and Maisie!  I used Karen Funk's Denim Darling Papers.... I love them! (and they are on sale today, too!)

I used Leora Sanford's Frayed Fabric Templates for the top layer of denim - so cool!

Bye for now!

BEAUTIFUL LADIES ON PARADE....

How was your Thanksgiving my US friends? I'm still in "Thankful" mode! I didn't do any of the Black Friday shopping, I didn't blog over the holiday, I didn't even craft ONE thing! Jeff and the kids and I went to my Grandma's and Jeff's family's house on Thursday, and spent the rest of the weekend at home, excpet for church yesterday morning. We played outside, cried when we had to go in (well, at least the kids did!), watched lots of Charlie Brown movies, read books and enjoyed each other's company!

When I opened my blogger to write a post this morning I got off track a bit and became mesmerized by all these thumbnails of beautiful ladies! Just a sea of gorgeous faces! Happy, creative, amazing women that I am lucky enough to share a passion with. Thank you all so much for being my internet friends!
