LIFE IS SWEET / K Funk New Release & ST 8.25.11...

Here's a peek at Karen's Funk's new release tomorrow, called Life is Sweet! It will be available at Design House Digital tomorrow. I really LOVE the colors of this kit, turquoise, orange and lime - so perfect! I also used a template by Agnes Biro called Quick Play 2... from it I borrowed the circle stitching.

These pics were taken around Maisie's first birthday. On this particular afternoon, like so many others, I came home from work and found Maisie standing on the coffee table. She was so excited to see me! It's so nice knowing a sweet little baby will be thrilled when you walk through the door!

Now when I come home usually both of the kids start whining and crying "I hungry momma!" & I start trying to figure out why I came home - LOL!

ENJOY / CQC #100 & FTL #155...

Good morning! Today is super special, the colourQ's 100th Challenge went live this morning - YAY! I'm so excited, too, because the gals over at Clean and Simple Stamping were so gracious and let us use their latest FTL #155 as part of our challenge!

Wow, every week for the last 100 weeks... how cool is that?!? I remember when I decided to "just do it". I was scared! Scared that I'd be playing alone each week - lol! It just goes to show...

FULL MOON / ADFD New Release...

The new release Happy Halloween, from A Day For Daisies is just darling! And so much fun to color!

The paper I used is Basic Grey - sorry I can't remember which one. I colored white rhinestones with a black Copic - my stamp area is such a mess, I couldn't find my black ones! YIKES!

I enjoy making Halloween cards, it reminds me of being a kid. Halloween for me growing up was never about scary things, just smiling jack o'lanterns and ghosts. I loved wracking my brain every year for a costume idea. So I guess getting to "dress up" these adorable images takes me back to a happy place. I guess that's why I love these images so much!

JUST ME / MScraps Beach Party...

Jeff took this pic of me last weekend. We were out on my parent's boat at the lake and he snapped this of me. Jeff usually takes the most atrocious pics ever, but this one seemed okay. Besides, there are so few pics of me I'm starting to get desperate! There has to be SOME of me in the family scrapbook!

I recently "discovered" a digi shop called MemoryScraps. They have some really great digi scrap designers! They are having a super fun "Beach Party" right now - lots of fun challenges. The one this page is for is called "Color of my Bikini" - as IF you would ever catch me in one - lol!

CALLIOPSIS / WFCo New Release & DS #16...

Good morning! Hope you're having an awesome week! We have a brand new sketch for you over at Deconstructed Sketches - I just love the shape of this card! I used a new image I drew the other day, too! It'll be in the Wax Fruit Company shop a little later! With school back in session, it seems another hectic summer is almost behind us! We have 2 more little family trips planned, and then hopefully things will get back to normal!

Jeff, the kids and I started walking in the evenings with some church friends who are also neighbors, this week. The weather is starting to not be as unbearable... don't get me wrong, though - it's still HOT! They have a little girl who's 2.5, about right in between Maisie & Alex, we're quite the sight - 4 of adults a wagon and a stroller - sorta our own little parade. With all the stops for water and settling the kiddies down it takes us about 40 minutes to walk 2 miles - whew! But it feels really good to get some exercise, which I hate to admit hasn't been part of my routine since I was pregnant with Alex!

MISS YOU / CQC #99 & FTL #154...

Good morning! How is everyone? We have great colors for you today over at the colourQ... sorta like a taste of fall! And I'mm also excited - because we're up to colourQ Challenge #99 - WOOHOO! It's so hard to believe I started it almost 2 year ago! Time flies when you're having fun!

I used PTI In Bloom dies for the felt flower and stamp, a SU! build-a-brad for the center, ribbon and cardstock! The top panel is popped up since I got all fancy with the ribbon! My blue didn't photograph so well, but you get the idea.

As you can see, I did my own thing with the sketch, but all the parts are there - promise!

The felt, of course, was bought on Etsy, from giantdwarf. She has the yummiest colors around - and I love her samplers!

WILD LITTLE MAN / CQC #98...

Happy Tuesday!!! My camera is still in the shop, so all you card lovers please bear with me! It's so hard taking crappy pics of my cards and trying to "correct" them enough to be presentable & then feeling that they're still crappy... but I promise more cards when I get it back!

I used today's new colourQ colors for a quick layout. Actually, I used this layout in a different form a couple weeks ago & at the time made a template out of it. You'll find a link to it at the bottom - a freebie! As I was finishing the first layout last night, my program crashed & I lost it all! I had to re-do it this morning...ugh. Another reminder for me to save my work!
