"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

PIZZAZ-Y MOTIF / AmyR's #50...

Faux stitching strikes again~ I think it really helps add a punch to some cards, and it's super easy! Amy's sketch this week was really interesting... when I'm making cards for myself, I never really think outside the box as far as multiple layers are concerned. So it's nice to dabble outside of my comfort level!

I used three Stampin' Up! sets for this card. The vines are stamped in Basic black using the scroll stamp from Baroque Motifs. The flowers are also in Basic Black from Petal Pizzaz (new set), and the butterfly is from a retired set called Essence of Love, still one of my favorites! The butterfly was stamped in black, then I used a glue pen to adhere the glitter. The glitter looks different depending on the base color of what it's glued on! This is the same glitter I used on a card a few days ago (this card) but it's a lot lighter than this butterfly.

The base of this card, as well as the ribbon, is Brocade Blue, and the designer paper, also SU!, is called Urban Oasis. I used my Big shot and Top Note die for the main image & matting and the dsp strip on the right side. I trimmed the dsp down, leavng the points at the top & bottom. I also used the Eyelet Border punch again on the Gray cardstock layer.

Thanks for looking!

Lovely card! I love the color combo and the stitching, which is something I want to learn to do.
