Ahhh, my last post for today! Tammy has new images AND a new challenge over at A Day For Daisies' blog today! I used these adorable Water Babies to make a cute little iron on for a shirt for Miss Maisie! Her regrets for not modeling the shirt herself, but when I asked she said "no!" - which is her favorite word! I guess it was her inner diva who was really declining!
ETA - I've had some emails about the process for this, so here a little more info:
There are a couple ways I color digital images on my computer, both involve Photoshop or Pixlr, which is an online program like Photoshop. One way id what I call digital paper piecing... here's a link: http://snappystamper.blogspot.com/2011/07/digital-paperpiecing-101-using-pixlr-in.html
The other way & the way I did the little Bathing Beauties was to use the "paintbucket" tool in Photoshop. You choose your color & when you click on an enclosed area, it "dumps" paint into it and covers the whole space.
Once my image was how I wanted it, I printed it onto iron on transfer paper, printed it out and ironed it on! (With light transfers you need to horizontally flip your image before printing, but not with the dark transfer paper.)
Thanks for stopping by!
