Today's card (which I have pre-posted - how cool is that?!?) is a little different than my normal fare... I had a great winning entry by Pam Speidel at the colourQ last week that was distressed and sponged, so I was inspired... thanks Pam!
The last two weeks have been amazing! I applied for the DT at Color Dare and made it! And if that was exciting enough, a few days later I got an email asking me to join the Unscripted DT! I loved their sketches from the first time I started playing, so there was NO WAY I would say no! As you read this, I am in the hospital having our second baby. But I was determined to not "slack off" on my new duties! This card is for today's Unscripted Sketch #38 and also for this week's Color Throwdown, another challenge I love. I don't know about you, but I play along with challenges for the challenge, not because of prizes. Of course, giving out a cool blog badge to the winners is a definite plus! Why do you guys play along with challenges? Any thoughts? Leave me a comment...
The background stamp is from Stampin' Up! called French Filigree. I stamped the flower with the big background stamp of the Fresh Cuts set, and then I punched it out with a Martha Stewart punch.

I play challenges cause it's fun and challenges me to try new things that I wouldn't have thought of. It develops my skills (I hope!) Having a starting point for a card sometimes is nice. I also love to have someone see my card and give a nice comment!
