"I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!"
~ Psalm 27:13-14

ESSENCE OF LOVE / CQC #17 & 2S4Y #44...

An oldie but a goodie... this retired SU! set is probably one of my favorites by far...

This card is for 2 challenges, colourQ #17 & Laura's sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 You.

Looking at the inspirations for the colourQ made me want to take it a bit literal (as one of the colourQ guest designers admitted, too - like minds, huh?) So when I thought of being literal, this set came to mind. The black silhouette is stamped onto Bashful blue & then sponged with Taken with Teal. I then Versamarked the whole thing & clear embossed it, which you can't really tell from the photo. Plus doing that seemed to darken up the bashful blue, but it's there, oh well... I always stick a butterfly on these image, and the other colourQ guest designer used a butterfly as well... so we had couple concurrent themes in the colourQ samples this week - lol! The butterfly is a MS punch & I added 3 black rhinestones to it's body.

Have a great day & play along with these challenges if you get a chance!
Bye for now...

Oh My Arielle! Such a lovely card and it's amazing given such a "challenging" color scheme! I'll have to ponder this one and see if I'm up for the challenge! ;)
