Okay, cuky name for a post... sorry! Late at night my brain switches over to dork mode, and the strangest things suddenly seem so cool... I digress. I was excited to get to use my Medallion stamp from Stampin' Up! on this quick card, though!
It's been a while since I played along with Paper Craft Planet's Color Challenge, so I decided to check it out this week & the colors seemed perfect to use with what I had in mind for this stamp. The inspiration for the colors was a cat, Princess Gizzy, and since Millie (the challenge admin) had picked Basic Black, More Mustard, Close to Cocoa & Very Vanilla, I figured I would do the same. Over at Pals Paper Arts, the theme for this week's challenge is "Gratitude & Thanks", my card also applied. (If you have not checked PPA out, please do - they are a very nice group to stamp with!!!)
Anyways, besides using the exquisite Medallion stamp, I also used Sincere Salutations for the sentiment. I stamped the Medallion 3 times, using Basic Black, More Mustard, and Close to Cocoa ink & then cut out 1/4 of each, which measured 2-1/8". I then cut 3 squares of equal size out of the 3 cardstocks. The Very Vanilla base they are on measures 4-5/8". I wish you could see that each 'tile' is raised on the base using dimensionals, but I couldn't photograph it well enough! I finished it off with a bit of black grosgrain ribbon.
Thanks so much for stopping in,
