"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

FALL LEAVES / Act #50...

This is one of my favorite ways to use buttons right now... I used to be really stingy with buttons until I started buying them from Papertrey... how can you NOT use them when you have a whole jar of the same color?!?

Making a card like this it doesn't take a whole lot of time....

1 - Trim card stock panel, die cut & then emboss.
2 - Lightly trace along the inside of the die cuts with a pencil, onto the base card stock. This will show you what area the buttons need to cover.
3 - Glue the buttons down. Add pop dots to the rest of the base... they're usually a little taller than the buttons.
4 - Adhere the embossed top panel.

That's it!

I used Stacey's gorgeous fall colors for this card from her latest Curtain Call Challenge. I haven't played with her in a while & it was such a joy to get the chance to this week! I just love her challenges & the gorgeous inspiration she and her team provide! She'll be having an anniversary soon... way to go!!!

By for now...

Oh my word, I absolutely must CASE this! What's cuter than buttons? Buttons peeking out from little leaf windows, of course! LOVE it, Arielle! So glad you could share it with the Curtain Call this week!

As an avid follower of your blog I have found myself being a little more than influenced by your stunning work. As I've recently blogged, I had started out being inspired by your card having buttons below a die cut out. But when I finished my card, I saw that in fact it was almost a direct copy. Oops! Hoping you don't mind. I have put a note and link on the post to let people know where i got the inspiration. Paul x

Thank you for your very kind comment on my blog Arielle :) You wanted to know about the embossing. It's by Cuttlebug and from an exclusive set sold only by Oh My Crafts. Here's the link.
