"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

A VERY YELLOW PRESENT / Act #22 & SSSC #61...

I was up very late last night stamping... too late, really! Now I have a stamping "hangover" - LOL! Do I know how to PARTY or WHAT?!?

When I saw these colors of Stacey's, they reminded me of another challenge she'd done, so I knew this was my chance to 'somewhat' redeem myself. My take on that previous challenge was not only dreadful, but embarassing as well - hah! I got a comment a few months ago basically telling me my stamping had gotten much better over the years... at first I was a little offended, but then I realized it was true. Next month will be four years since I've been blogging, and about 5 since I started stamping. I do still make ugly cards sometimes - lol! (But I'm starting learn that I don't have to post EVERYTHING I make! Especially if it doesn't turn out right...)

Karen's sketch is really cute this week, too! I altered it a little. She has great sketches week after week! I don't know how she does it... and doesn't it make stamping a little easier to be provided with great inspiration? Thank you Karen, you're awesome!

This card also qualifies for:
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge / Birthdays
Crafty Creations / Spots & Dots

The black & white polka dotted 'rosette' was made using a border punch & a crimper. Same concept as the eyelet flowers I made a few days ago. The image is from a retired Stampin' Up! set called Big Celebrations. I colored it with Copics & added white gel pen dots to the red ribbon. Oh, and on the right side of the ribbon is a yellow button that I glued a black & white polka dotted brad to. I did clip the back tines of the brad off first.

Have a happy Monday!
