"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

SNOWFLAKES / SG9, DPCC05 & SWU 11//22/09...

I love, love, love snowflakes...

I managed 3 challenges with this card... I love challenges, but I think 3 is the max for me... I don't like to get TOO complicated! I ran across a new sketch challenge, Sketch Girl, and thought it looked fun. I also participated in the color challenge over at Play Date Cafe & a recipe challenge at Stamp With Us!

The colors I used were elegant eggplant cs, pale plum dsp, bashful blue cs & dsp. I embossed some of the snowflakes in silver, although they didn't photograph so well! The stamp is the snowflake from the hostess level 1 in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini, called Patterned Pines. The sentiment was handwritten!

Bye for now,

This is very pretty indeed. I bet it looks even better IRL when you can see the silver embossing better. I thought at first that you'd changed colours between the slice at the top and the main card but I can see now that it's the angle of the light on the silver embossing. Great sponging too on your lacy border. Thanks for playing along and for entering the DT call.

Thanks for playing along with Sketch Girl. Your take on the sketch is great - all those layers and ribbon are perfect, as are your snowflakes! The border punch completely makes the card for me!
