"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

GIFT~Y STOCKING / Digital Doodles...

For this week's Digital Doodles project, I used Kathy's Night Before Christmas set. I took the stocking image & enlarged it to about 8 inches long to make this super cute money/gift card holder! Be sure to check out Kathy's blog for a chance to win a sweet set of digis and see what the other ladies put together with this set!

I printed out 2 copies, one each for the front & back, on kraft card stock. I also printed it out again to use as templates for the paper piecing. The top of the stocking has a slit where the "opening" is, to slide the goodies into. I dry embossed the top of the stocking. The letters were run through the Xyron twice, to make both sides sticky & then I adhered the glitter. The main piece of the stocking was done with a 1 1/4" punch for the faux quilting.

Years ago, my Dad started a tradition in our family, during the night on Christmas Eve he'd put envelopes in our tree for each of us. They always had a little money in them, and these days sometimes a gift card. So now we all do it! I thought this would make a cute alternative to the envelopes!

There were 2 challenges in mind when I made this, Incy Wincy (something FAUX) and One Stitch at a Time (use a digi stamp).

Bye for now!
