"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

CRACKED FAUX SILK...

... is that a new technique?

I recently made 10 or more of these for a swap, that's why they're kinda simple! But I also worked on a newish (?) technique that I didn't want to detract from.

For the Upsy Daisy (Stampin'Up!) image, I stamped in Versamark onto tissue paper & clear embossed it. Then I wadded the paper up, opened it again & flattened it out. I ran a piece of whisper white cardstock through my Xyron, then spread the tissue over it and rubbed it on. I then used sponges to apply the ink. I really like the way the ink stuck in the cracks of the embossing. I'll definitely tuck this idea away for a rainy day!

STAMPs: Upsy Daisy
INKs: Versamark, Summer Sun, and Tangerine Tango
PAPERs: Tangerine Tango CS & DSP, Summer Sun, and Whisper White
EMBELLISHMENTS: Tissue Paper, More Mustard brad, Photo Corners Punch, tear bar
