"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

WILD ROSE / CTD #98 & CP #69...

So as part of my eternal quest for inspiration, last night while blog hopping I came across the new challenge for this week's Color Throwdown posted early on someone's blog... YAY!

These colors from Color Throwdown are certainly not ones I'd normally use together... so this was FUN! I paired it with Card Pattern's sketch for this week, I love square cards!

Don't ask me why, but I pulled out a retired Stampin' Up! set, Wild Rose, for this card. The rose is stamped in Blush Blossom & then using the Blush marker, I outlined/highlighted parts of the image. I love how the pearls in the center of the flower turned out. The EF is Cuttlebug, but I can't remember the name of it. It reminds me of those antique textured ceiling tiles... LOVE IT!

Have an awesome day!

TEA FOR TWO / CQC #38 & FTL #95...

Good morning! We have some super fun colors over at the colourQ for this week... and since I got a box of goodies from Papertrey Ink yesterday, I thought I'd put them to good use!

I combined the colourQ challenge with this week's Fall-To Layout, which I of course had to complicate the sketch a little... and mirror it! It's still there for the most part, though!

The stamps are from Papertrey Ink, Tea for Two, Tea for Two Additions & the dies Tea for Two Collection and Teacup are also PTI. How cute!!! And what good is a card by me if there's no embossing - right?!? I used the Moroccan Screen EF from Cuttlebug. Besides the ribbon, there some tiney bling in each corner, they're all the same but the top 2 rhinestones look dark in this lighting.

Bye for now...

[HELLO] WONDERFUL YOU / ACT #35, TSSC #126 & C4C #42...

Wow, I'm on a roll - I missed another challenge deadline with this card... of course I'm not the only one having a hard time today! My hubby works nights & usually sleeps from 8 to 3 everyday... when I went home at lunch to see the kids I heard his dresser drawer close, so I went to see why he was up... he gotten up & taken a shower thinking it was 3:00 already, poor guy!

hOPE YOU'RE HAVING A LOVELY mONDAY! Sorry, I forgot to take it off all caps - heehee! I loved Mary Jo's sketch this past week - I wish I played with her sketches more often, they are really great every week - there just are not enough stamping hours in the day! I feel guilty every week that I miss my dear friend Krystal's challenge... it always seems I remember after the deadline! It's on my list for today!!! I PROMISE! I managed to miss Mary Jo's deadline, too, which I combined with Stacey's awesome~ly summer~y colors & Crazy 4 Challenges paper flower theme.

I swear I put Stampin' Up!'s set Wonderful You away, but I drug it back out again... I needed those leaves!!! I used Cuttlebug's Paisley EF & dies from Papertrey Ink. The buttons (which ARE Cameo Coral in real life) are also from PTI, as is the sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by & I hope you get a chance to play along with one of these fantastic challenges this week!

DADISMS / MTSC #78, PTW & SR #24...

Here's the card I made for my Dad, since I couldn't post it before I gave it to him for Father's Day, I missed out on Mercy's deadline...

I combined Mercy's sketch with the theme of Ice Cream Flavors from PaperTake Weekly & Stampin' Royalty's masculine theme. My ice cream flavors are both Chunky Monky & Mint Chocolate Chip... something I enjoyed while pregnant, but not so much now - lol!

I used the stamp set Dadisms from There She Goes... SO FUN! I've said it before, but Jessica's sentiments crack me up & got a chuckle from Dad, too! The patterned paper is retired from Stampin' Up! - the top panel piece I ran through the BigShot with Cuttlebug's Argyle embossing folder. I'll be sad when I use my last piece of this paper, it's so great for guys!

Hope the men in your life had a great Father's Day!

Bye for now!

MOMMY'S SHOES / USSIS #60...

Well, I know I'm late with this post, but I have a good excuse.... my very dear friend Tanja and her family are leaving to move back to Germany today & we went to say goodbye! I teared up when we drove up to her house, but I quickly pulled myself together... I didn't want her to remember me as a blubbering mess...

For today's Unscripted sketch, there's a piggyback challenge of using b&w, since it's National Eat an Oreo day - lol! I'm leaving now to get a pedicure & taking along my latest Paper Crafts, Scrapbooks Etc., & an iced coffee... I'm a month overdue!

Bye for now & hope you get to play along with our sketch this week!
