"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

HELLO / DS #197...

Hidy~ho! I have a card for this week's Deconstructed Sketch! Maisie's been home sick all week, poor baby! One of her classmates has strep, so that may be what she's trying to fight off. I used a cute stamp set from Studio Calico called Little Things, so beautiful! The veneer "hello" is from BasicGrey!

The other Deconstructed ladies' have some fabulous samples today - so please go check them out

Have a great day!

I am so sorry to hear you have a sick one at home. sure hope it isn't strep.

your card is super cute! love that wooden veneer piece from BG, but then again, if it's BG, you can be sure I am going to love it. ;)

I have a quick question for you, I have gone through your digital paper piecing tutorial, but have gimp. I tried and tried to apply the tut to this program, but couldn't get it to work. have you ever used gimp to do the paper piecing? just wondering if you had any advice. I tried doing an internet search and came up empty. otherwise I guess I'll need to download the program you used.

thanks so much in advance! :)

This is so pretty!! I love your interpretation of the sketch. Your layering of the stamps and then the addition of the patterned paper strip is so cool. Sorry your little one is not feeling well. It is so hard to have your child sick. Thanks for sharing.

Very pretty Arielle! I love the layering of your stamps and the bold veneer text - that's a great combination.
