I used Stack 'Em High (plus a couple images from Talk to Me and Cover-Ups).... this set is so fun!!! I love backgrounds - they are so versatile! I wish i could show it to you - LOL! You'll see them all tomorrow, though! 

I used little bits of washi to add color to the diamonds. I am playing along with CAS(e) this Sketch and Color Throwdown - LOVE these colors!!!

YOU SIZZLE MY CIRCUITS / TAWS Sneak Peek Day One...

Oh my - yes! It's Day ONE of the August Sneak Peeks from The Alley Way Stamps! This new set is called Crazy Circuits, and I can tell you it coordinates beautifully with so many other TAWS sets! I used one of the sentiments and background stamps for this card and on the little connectors I used tiny rhinestones!

I also played along with Color Throwdown, although my colors are exactly the same... :(

PEACOCK MAGIC / ADFD #75...

Happy Friday! This is post #3 for me today! We are starting a new challenge over at A Day For Daisies' blog today and showing off some of the DT's favorite images - mine is called Peacock Magic (well - ONE of mine anyway...) The challenge is ti use something shiny on your project - here I've used shiny sequins and pearlescent watercolors. They are just a cheap student set, but they are so fun!!!

Here's a closer look at the shimmer of pearlescent opaque watercolors... they are by Enesco.

DREAMS & UNICORNS / DB - "Tags"...

Hello, this is my second post for the day! The theme this week over at the Dilly Beans Challenge Blog is to make a tag! I love tags and rarely make them! I have been dying to use this adorable little Unicorn Girl image. The sentiment says... "Dreams are the playground of unicorns."

There's a joke in one of my CT's that I "LOVE" unicorns... and actually I now do a little, strangely enough. People are always posting unicorns pics and tagging me. I actually didn't care for them one way or another when the joke began - but they are growing on me! It all started with a conversation about fantasy scrapping and me saying I hated it. One of the ladies decided to scrap a layout of me as a unicorn to change my mind... and here it is. Jennifer Valencia it's all your fault!

GOOD JOB / TAWS Be Inspired #33...

Happy Friday! We are at a wedding this weekend, my sweet cousin Robert is marrying his beautiful bride tomorrow! Alex and Maisie are in the wedding as the ring-bearer and flower girl, so we've been hyping it up to them, hoping it will all go smoothly. With all the wedding talk, apparently Alex has been thinking about it a great deal...

Alex: "I wish I had gotten married."
Me: "It's okay, you need to finish school first..."
Alex: "You're right mom, I will!"

Anyway on to the card.... I saw this inspiration for the TAWS Be Inspired Challenge and knew I wanted to use the pencil from Learning Curve - it's so awesome! I also used twine to mimic the packaging of the photo.

IT FITS / Simple Scrapper...

Over the next couple days I am going to post some scrap layouts that I have made this month... here's one of Alex. He brought out all these blocks into the living room and told me they were a puzzle. I didn't think so, but a few minutes later he had pieced the all together! He's so smart!

I love this little world image from the Alley Way's newest set, Learning Curve! It, plus this sentiment make the sweetest cards!!! I doodled around the image... so fun! I may do more of that!
