LOVE BIRDS / RS #5 & CTD #185...

Good morning! We have an awesome new sketch for you today over at RetroSketches, by Laurie! You're going to LOVE it!

I paired it with the current Color Throwdown, aren't those colors gorgeous together? So sweet! This set is from Papertrey Ink, called Love Birds. I'm not sure I've ever inked it up, but it seemed perfect for this card!

  

I'm off for a pedicure in a couple hours and then we're driving a half hour to the mall so the kids can see the Easter Bunny - YAY! Hope you have a great weekend!

BEFUDDLED mixed media canvas / ADFD #40...

Good morning again! This is a little different for me, these days. Years and years ago I was a painter, sculptor and printmaker. I've had a jones to paint lately after seeing the gorgeous "she~art" that people have been doing. Once I located my paints, I realized just how long it had been - they were all dried up - LOL! Luckily Michael's had an awesome sale last weekend and I bought new ones. 

So with today's release at A Day For Daisies of "Bewildered", I decided to just go for it! The canvas is 3" squared. Yes, very small! The challenge at ADFD is to use found paper, so the ADFD digi (called Bewildered C) is printed on a check duplicate and the background is from the newspaper. You can just see it peeking through. The stamps are from Papertrey Ink & Stampin' Up!.

I have to say, I've missed painting! So stay tuned - you'll be seeing more of these mixed media canvases!!!

SUGAR SKULL & FLOWERS / DB #18 & RS #4...

Good morning! Today's new challenge is up over at the Dilly Beans Challenge Blog ~ the theme is Skulls & Skellies! I used a new image from Megan called Super Skull and Flowers, SO NEAT! I will probably give this to some friends on Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead.Of course, that is if I can remember in November where it is - LOL!

Good morning! It's Thursday - I can't believe it! WOOHOO! We have a super FAB sketch for you today over at the Deconstructed Sketch, love this one Jen! 

I used some old  Scenic Route paper that I absolutely love, and an image from the Wax Fruit Co. called Bunny Pail!

We're taking the kids to see the Easter Bunny this weekend, and they assure me they are both going to sit on his lap. Jeff starts a new shift next week, I can't wait! Good morning! It's Saturday and we have an awesome new sketch for you over at RetroSketches!!! Today's sketch is based on a card by Jackie - she has some amazing card construction & layout skills!

We have a brand new challenge for you today over at Dilly Beans - PARTY!!! I found these 2 images that I just had to use together, Balloon Girl and Cupcake Girlie! The 3 strips on the left side of the card were rolled up a little, I wish they showed up better! They remind me of the things you blow at parties.... what are those called? Anyways... Good morning! It's finally FRIDAY!!! I'm so excited! Tammy's new release at A Day For Daisies is just amazing today! She's been overrun by birds lately on her farm, so obviously the inspiration is flocking around her - LOL!

 I chose this funky bird - he kinda looked like a peacock to me.... Birdie Bloom. This card was very simple and quick to put together. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.
