"This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another,
God lives in us and his love is made complete in us." ~ 1 John 4:9-12

Happy [stormy] Saturday.../ Unity Blog Hop & SJCI#29 & 2S4Y#22...

Whew... I made it, barely! Blogger didn't want to upload any of my pictures this morning!

Woke up to storms around 1am... and now we're under a tornado warning... I swear the weather radio is about to drive me crazy!

The stamps are from Untiy Stamp Co., called Mix Up of Cuteness! I love them! I based this card/mini album on the 2 challenges above, you can click on the picture to visit the sites (2 Sketches 4 You & Stacey's Jewelry Color Inspiration).

I also used Basic Grey's Cupcake paper, Stampin' Up's Real Red, Bashful Blue, Whisper White & Barely Banana cardstock. Some ric rac, pop dots, and my nestabilities of course, were also used...!

One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life: That word is love. ~Sophocles (496 BC - 406 BC)

I'd love to chat some more, but as you can see, Alex is not happy that my attention is elsewhere today!

GO FLY A KITE / 2S4Y #21...

I got some new stamps in the mail~ YAY! They're from a company I hadn't heard of, Shirley's 2 Girls, this one is called 'Kite'. Their stamps are very whimsical, and looked terrific for coloring & for paper piecing! I saw one of their stamps on a card for a challenge I was in, I wish I could remember whose card it was... and I had to get some of their stamps for myself! I love this little kite!

This card is for Kazan's sketch #21 at 2 Sketches 4 You. I used So Saffron, Bashful Blue, Riding Hood Red, Old Olive, and Kiwi Kiss prints DSP to paper piece the image. Flowers and vines from Stampin' Up!'s hostess level 2 set, are stamped on the Old Olive cardstock with Old Olive ink. I used a Martha Stewart border punch, as well. The card is embellished with Bashful Blue grosgrain ribbon and 2 light blue button brads.

So, everyone go fly I kite~ I plan to!

My mother called around 7am - I always think the worst when the phone rings that early... she was calling to say it was snowing! YAY! Alex got to see it for about 30 seconds, since it was so cold! Sorry, in the pic it just looks like little white streaks...
