A few weeks ago I stumbled onto someone's blog post, who mentioned a submission call over at Paper Crafts Magazine for Christmas cards! I decided to 'throw caution to the wind' and submitted a card for the first time ever... AND IT GOT ACCEPTED!
I got the email this morning & after I stopped shaking & my eyes stopped tearing up (is that normal?!?) , I called Tanja (she wasn't home - boo!), my mom, Jeff, my MIL & FIL (I gave the card to my FIL for Christmas) - and of course while they're happy for me, they REALLY don't get it - lol!
Anyways I just HAD to tell someone who would "get" it... thanks for listening!

ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS! Tell me that's not your first publication?!?!? You should have tons published...your that good! I had my first publication last October. The creative editor saw one of my cards in my Two Peas Gallery and asked if they could publish it. I was very excited....just like you described. Couldn't wait until it came out in print. Was at Archiver's and thought I'd see if the magazine was out yet.......hold on to your hat.....my card was on the COVER! I had no idea that was going to happen! Can you imagine. Anyway, I was bitten by the pub bug and have had a whole bunch of things published since and it still just as exciting as the first! I can't wait to see your card in print!!!!! Is it a card????
