"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

AMAZING IAN / TGF FFF & TESC #104...

Who doesn't dream of being a SUPER HERO?!? Sure, as a kid maybe... but don't we all wish we were super heroes of the stamping world? I know I do... I'd have a million followers and some of my super powers would include tying a bow with a single hand, heat embossing with only a breath & perfect cuts using my laser beam eyes... well a girl can daydream, right?

I've never played along with the Greeting Farm's FARM FRESH FRIDAY, so after getting in some new stamps from them (...here I go again!) I thought I would! Their little guy Ian is the cutest, and being a mom to a boy, I really value Ian. A LOT of stamp companies overlook the fact that there are too few 'boy/guy' stamps in this world - so I'm glad to have Ian! I missed Taylors cute sketch a couple weeks ago & though I rarely go back in time to do a sketch I missed, I had to because I haven't been able to get it out of my head!

The papers are from October Afternoon & Cosmo Cricket! The base of the card is Riding Hood Red (retired) from Stampin' Up!, and I also used Taken with Teal & Summer Sun. I cut the bottom of the teal-based panel with PTI's new ric rac die. For the sentiment, I used Microsoft Word for the 'burst' shape & then stamped the sentiment in Riding Hood Red. Ian is colored with Copics.

Well, thanks for stopping by - see you soon!

BUTTON BITS BALLOONS / CD #61 & CPS #160...

Yes another PTI set... aren't new stamps FUN?!? I have a few more new sets to play with, I've been on a PTI kick lately...

The first card for today (yes, there's another one coming!) is for Riley's Color Dare! It was a real challenge for me, I usually don't do well with 1 or 2 colors... but hey ~ what fun is a challenge if it's not challenging?!? I paired it with this week's sketch from Card Positioning Systems, I figured I might have a chance at a decent card if I had a simple sketch to follow...

I've really sterted to fall in love with buttons, they're so versatile! These are all retired Stampin' Up! buttons... even though they were 'Riding Hood Red' they still seemed to match the Ruby Red that Riley's challenge called for. The Baja Blue from the challenge is also retired, but if you're like me, you stock up on stuff before it retires - so this ribbon is also gone. Speaking of, today is the last day of Sale-A-Bration over at Stampin' Up! & a lot of things will be gone as of midnight... so if there's something you've been eyeing from the current Occasions Mini catty or SAB catty, you better get crackin'! All the images from this card are from Papertrey Ink... Everyday Button Bits.

Back in a bit with another card!

BABY BUTTON BITS / cQc #26 & 2S4Y #49...

The new colourQ challenge is up - as is the debut of the newly installed Royal Court DT!!! I'm so excited...

These colors seemed to go perfectly with Kazan's sketch this week, I hope I didn't alter her sketch too much ... What is it they say? "I made it my own" - lol! (Does that secretly translate to "Woman, don't you know how to follow a sketch?")

I actually threaded a needle and sewed these buttons on... I know, I know, I'm the queen of 'faux stitching', but I tried to be brave. Yesterday the UPS guy brought me a present, my very own Janome Sew Mini - YAY! Of course now I have to clean up my stamping area so I'll have a place to put it... double [sigh].

This is Baby Button Bits from Papertey Ink, so cute! Buttons are fast becoming my favorite embellishment.

Gotta go for now...

PS - Can I ask a huge favor?

Will you go to http://thegreetingfarm.com/galleria/ and vote for my card?

They're having a big TGF Royal Battle & my team needs votes to stay in the competition... I hate to ask, but I really would appreciate it! You will have to register if you aren't already...

Once you're in the gallery, go to:
Contests/Challenges » TGF ROYAL BATTLE » Week 1

All you have to do then is leave a comment on my card.
Thank you in advance~ I promise I'll return the favor!

ONE MORE EYELET FLOWER CARD / Act #23 & FTL #84...

Just one more... I swear these flowers are addictive... go ahead - make one & see if you can stop yourself from wanting to make these all the time - lol!

My friend Stacey has some wonderful colors for you this week, and her sample card is GORGEOUS! So stop what you're doing (once you've finished reading this post of course -lol!) and go check out this week's Curtain Call Color Challenge: Act 23 !

As you may have noticed, each time I set out to do clean & simple, it errupts into ANYTHING but clean & simple... not sure why! I guess I just get carried away... This week's Fall-To Layout is super cute, and again my c&s card got out of hand [sigh]. Melanie is having a little challenge, too, calling for people to use whatever scraps are on their desk - ha, if she only knew what MY entire dining room looks like... anyone want to see a picture? The cuttlebugged white piece was a scrap, as was the ribbon & houndstooth paper.

In my defense, the eyelet flowers I've made lately all used different border punches!

Anyway, thanks so much for stopping by! Leave a comment so I can come visit you, too!

MORE EYELET FLOWERS / USSIS #48 & CTD #85...

I am in love with these flowers... this time I used a different border punch!

This week's sketch is up over at Unscripted Sketches... go check it out! We had really great entries last week and the Top 3 cards were excellent! This week's Color Throwdown was interesting... I don't know why, but I usually panic when I see Garden Green... it's SO GREEN, you know?

So I used a Martha S Border punch, I think it worked out pretty well! The sentiment is from Papretrey... Sorry this is short, gotta start cleaning & doing laundry!

Have a gorgeous Saturday!

AARON's 30th / PTI Blog Hop & Mojo #131...

Well, today is my baby brother's 30th birthday... sure makes me feel old!

This is my first Papertrey Ink Blog Hop! I've been looking forward to it all week... I thought Julee's Mojo sketch would be perfect for this card! To hop along, you'll probably have to register...

I used PTI's Father Knows Best, along with some of their vintage buttons! All the dsp is retired Stampin' Up!

Gotta go feed Maisie, cook dinner & bake Aaron;s cake for tomorrow. Not to mention all the other mom stuff I do until the wee hours of the morning!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

SHOWTIME / MTSC #66...

Here's a liitle Greetting Farm cutie... they're having a big 'Battle Challenge' and 60 teams are starting out, but half that many will move on to week 2...

I used Mercy's sketch for this. Simple and sweet! Not too much time to talk about this card - the papers are Cosmo Cricket. I colored the image with Copics. And I distressed the edges of most everything with Creamy Caramel ink by Stampin' Up!. The eyelet border punch is also SU!

Time to feed Maisie - she's a whopping 10 1/2 pounds now - little piggy!

Thanks for stopping by!

DELIGHTFUL DAHLIA / CD #61 & 2S4Y #48...

Ooooh - don't you just L-O-V-E pink & black?

The Color Dare has new, awesome colors posted today for this week's challenge - if you haven't played along, you should! I paired Riley's colors with Laura's sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 You... another terrific one this week, as always! What could be easier? Grab these colors & find a sketch & you're halfway to a fabulous card!!!

I needed a simple, yet elegant little birthday card for my brother's fiance, Tenille... I know she'll love this! The image is Delightful Dahlia from Papertrey Ink - they even have dies to match - yay! The dotted paper is retired from Stampin' Up! & the border puch is currently 'free' at SU! for about another week, when you spend $50 - what a super deal!

Bye for now...

A SPECIAL EGG GIRL / JUGS #25, PTW #37, PIO #10 & etc...

Well, I really never thought I'd like digital images, but I cretainly have been gravitating to them lately!

This card fulfilled a TON of challenges, probably more than I've ever managed on a single card. I do have my own rules for that, though... only '1' sketch & color challenge per card! I played along witht he cool Papertake Weekly sketch and the wonderfully 'spring-y' colors from Just us Girls.

Here are all the challenges:
Just Us Girls - Color Challenge
Stamp Something - Distressed
The Shabby Tea Room - Spring Inspired w/ Stitching
Pile It On - Furry Friends
Our Creative Corner - Easter

This image is a digital stamp from Sassy Cheryl's isn't she CUTE!!! I love the vintage look! All the designer paper & ribbon is retired Stampin' Up! The button is Papertey Ink. I used Copics to color her, the edges of the image are distressed/ spinged with SU! inks Bashful Blue & Certainly Celery, the dry-embossed background is sponged with So Saffron. The card base is Soft Suede, But it looks darker since I distressed the edges. The tag is a die from SU!, as well.

Have a beautiful day!
