"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

TWICK OR TWEAT / CTD #62 & FTL #61...

How cute are these little guys? This new set is from the SU! Holiday Mini, called Twick or Tweat... I love these pumpkins, they are SO SWEET!!!

Using the colors from the Color Throwdown #62, I loosely based this little candy wrap on Clean & Simple Stamping's Fall-to Layout #61.

I stamped the image in Black Stazon onto Really Rust, Old Olive & Whisper White cardstock, and also onto a piece of dotted Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper, and then paper pieced! The wrap itself was just a strip of Basic Grey cardstock (2.75 x 11 in.) that I scored @ 4", 5.5" & 9.5". It doesn't get much easier than that! The spider web punch on the Really Rust is by Martha Stewart.

Thanks so much for looking & until tomorrow,

MONKEY B'DAY TO YOU / DCBD #146 & C4C4...

I still love this set, Sock Monkey, by Stampin' Up! I also used the Sock Monkey Accessories as well. I never seem to have enough birthday cards on hand, so I decided on this when I saw the Diva Challenge.

I made this card based on 2 challenges, Diva's Coffee Break Design Color Challenge #146 and Crazy for Challenges Sketch Challenge C4C4, both of which are new to me and my challenge list!

Thanks for stopping by, I'll try to write more about this card tomorrow!

AUTUMN SPLENDORific THANKS / 2S4Y #36 & PPA9 & PEC #34...

Well, I found a few more minutes this evening to stamp... the weather here will be cooler this week, so I'm hoping fall is finally on its way!

This card fit the bill for 3 challenges tonight, 2 Sketches 4 You #36, Pals Paper Arts #9 - which is a new one for me, and Pink Elephants Recipe Challenge!

I used a beautiful set from Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Mini Catty, called Autumn Splendor, which will make a nice manly set after fall is no more! On the base of the card I used the Woodgrain background stamp, also manly! I stamped the leaves in Chocolate Chip onto mulberry paper & watercolored the greenish brown background & then used markers to color in the leaves. For the 3-D-ish leaves, I stamped them onto Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango & Always Artichoke, used a little marker on them, cut them out, crumpled them up & stuck them on! Hemp twine (some of it colored with a marker), a mustard button, a big eyelet & 'Give Thanks' (from a hostess set) finish it off!

Thanks for stopping in & have a great day!

RAZZLE DAZZLE THOUGHTS / SSSC #37 & CTD #61...

A lot has been going on in the 4 months since I last posted... actually NOT A LOT as far as stamping, but I have had a lot of morning sickness & tired days running after a now 15 month old monster boy! That's right, the Gordon family will be welcoming a baby girl in January, her name will be Maisie Grace! The last few months have been torture, shuffling past my stamps & stuff & not feeling like playing!

So I had 2 whole hours to myself today & a little energy, which allowed me to participate in 2 fun challenges, Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #37 and The Color Throwdown's challenge #61! YAY for me!!! The stamp set is Razzle Dazzle, and this was it's first taste of ink... I know - I should be ashamed since I'd pre-ordered it!

Here's a pic of Alex and I last week in Tampa at the aquarium... a friend said I was "radiant", but I assured her it was only sweat from chasing him through the place! Now you see what I'm up against - LOL!

Thanks so much for looking!
